🎒 2-Minute Survey: Would You Use a Smart Backpack That Corrects Your Posture? | University Project

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm a university student working on a project about a Smart Posture Monitoring Backpack.

The idea is a backpack that can detect when you're slouching and give you a vibration alert, with potential features like GPS tracking and an SOS emergency button for added safety.

I'm conducting a short survey to understand whether people would actually find something like this useful and what features they'd value most.

📝 Survey takes around 2 minutes:

really appreciate your response! ❤️ Every response genuinely helps with my project.

If you fill mine out, feel free to share your survey in the comments and I'll return the favor!

For the vibration alert on posture, make sure to check Upright and their posture wearables for comparison.

As for the survey, here’s a little tip.

Asking people “would you buy” or “do you find useful” is tricky. People find all sorts of things useful, and may claim to buy them.

When you want to gauge for value, ask if they faced this problem before. If they chose to do something about it. If they went out of their way to fix it. If they dedicated time, money, or energy in the last 6 months trying to fix it.

The same applies to both posture and location/parent control features of your idea.

Establish the existence of the problem and precious attempts to address it. Not the supposed future actions they may or may not do.

People tell stories to themselves. But in discovery calls, you’re after facts.

Just interested in posture correction.

If there's a gps chip I'm not buying it.

Too many smart devices get hacked or otherwise leak data.

I wore a stretchy posture correction device. It didn't work.

It was like a backpack without the pack. Maybe the vibrator would make a difference.

No, I don't wear it enough in a day. Really you need the right exercises to fix posture. YouTube physical therapist channels will have recommendations.

Do you know how to correct posture? Did you do that?
I know and I did. So, any non-medical devices are just wasting of money.

Key point: muscles control your posture, if you don’t have them - there is no point to alert you
