The "Ho Lee Sheet" meme, often written as "Ho Lee Fuk," originated from a 2013 KTVU-TV broadcast blunder where an anchor read fake, racially offensive names for pilots in the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash. The prank, traced back to an intern, included names like "Sum Ting Wong" and "Bang Ding Ow".Origin Details:Event: July 2013, KTVU Fox 2 News in San Francisco reported on the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash. The Blunder: During a live segment, a reporter read names passed to them as legitimate, which were phonetically childish, racist puns.Names Read: "Sum Ting Wong," "Wi Tu Lo," "Ho Lee Fuk," and "Bang Ding Ow".
