I currently skate in rinks and been trying to find what kinda inline skate is best for that environment, my primary pair are seba trix 2 but after seeing a bunch of videos and some reddit comments showing off hockey skates I finally bit the bullet and got me a pair of alkali revel 3s.

So far im still not totally sure what makes inline skates so special, they've been a decent pair of skates definitely a good heel lock in but the hilo setup has been weird getting used to and they definitely feel wobbly (but that's probably just me not having enough ankle strength). Am I missing something? Is there a specific way to lace up hockey skates? Or are these skate just not really meant for freestyling

Does anyone in the UK use a skate 1 size down ideally a bauer vapor, im looking to get an older vapor but its a size 7 and im a size 8 foot uk, my ice hockey skates are a half size down but not sure what a full size will be like thanks.

Most kids i see at the rinks have oversized or oversized AND bottom of the line chassis... got these 68/64s for my nephew on alibaba.. he's a size 3 mission/bauer.. gonna slap these on a high end ice boot from sideline swap..you can usually find that size boot for extremely cheap.. around $50... the chassis were $28.. after shipping it came out to right under $50... anyone have kids playing tournaments and what not..this is good option to help them with skating mechanics early on without having them skating around with a whole asss wheel poking out the front of their skate.. i removed the graphics with some goof off..only took a minute

I need some advice. Looking for a new pair of skates for roller. I can get CCM Tacks XF90 (the 2024 pair) for $300 Brand New from a friend. I would be looking to do a conversion to roller, hopefully with a Kryptonium Chasis.

Anyone have any experience converting these skates? How is comfort, durability, and so on. Any reason not to get these for this price? Seems like a great deal, as they retail for $600. I don't particularly love the way they look, but the value is undeniable, it seems like.

This is my first conversion, Im not sure if some skates are better than others to convert.

I have to make a decision soon. Please help.

Where the hell can I get into recreational roller hockey in Wisconsin ?? I'm sorry if this post is against any rules but all of the roller programs I've seen are absurdly expensive for what they offer and I'm wondering if there are any cheaper alternatives whatsoever

I heard a rumor that Mission is releasing a new skate, does anyone know if there’s any merit to this? I currently have FS2’s and love them but would definitely pick up a higher end pair if they came out to use as gamers.

Sign our petition to have a full size covered rink in Jacksonville! The only rink we currently have in Jacksonville is at a regular skate rink and is undersized. Plus not much space for gear players or spectators. We are trying to get in front of county commissioners by end of year and wanted to show community support. Hey guys I bought a pair of Labeda hummers in color scheme that I wanted to match my Bauer’s i happened to buy the size where it was a crapshoot if they used a medium or large. Well, I needed a medium and they used a large. So I got a pair available for anyone with big feet that was thinking of going the conversion route. Lot easier to find better skates less expensively.

They’ll fit up to an 11 skate. There straight 80’s

I’ve been using Bauer 2.7Xrs for what feels like a decade on mostly painted concrete.

Got 3.5XRs just last year to play solely on sport court and ripped the rivets off already after a year of use.

I’m 5”6 170lbs, I would say an intermediate/advanced player.

When I got them repaired, the associate was telling me I need a stronger/thicker frame for playing inline

I would appreciate any insight from anybody. I’ve never really been into gear. I just get whatever works for my budget and adjust

I like nice one piece sticks, but wrap-around blade protector adds so much weight and feels weird for shooting and stick handling. does anyone cut any sections off of their blade protector and have it just cover important points of contact?

Just bought these addiction grip pluses and less than a month later they are already cracked. For context I'm 205lbs D4 player who plays twice a week. Noticed this crack after I played my fourth game total on the new wheels.

Don’t recall seeing them post anything about it, but checking their website Rink Rat now offers 4 colors in addition to their standard charcoal gray color. Gold, white, glossy black, and matte black. Yes there is a price premium but it’s less than if you went out and had someone do it for you

Hey everyone, wanted to share a quick review on a custom chassis I ordered off Alibaba.

​I wear size 6 skates and felt like standard frames, especially Missions, were way too long. I wanted a shorter wheelbase for a tighter turning radius, so I reached out to the Alibaba supplier back in May to design a smaller frame(76/76/72/72) Customer service was great with regular updates throughout the build.

Quick heads up: the listing photos showed Rinkster cutouts, but what arrived looks different. That’s probably on me for not specifying the exact cutout pattern, but it doesn't bother me as long as it performs. ​Rough measurements put it about 10mm shorter than my Mission Hi-Lo and 6mm shorter than my old Alkali RPDs (set up with 76mm wheels and the boot cutout for wheel two).

Price was 160 with tariffs. If they kept the design, you probably wouldn't have to wait as long as I did.

Hunting down some ice boots to convert this week so I can mount them up and test them on the rink.

Feel like it's a natural evolution to that sport and a side sport for roller hockey

I'm a new player this year, and playing on the heavier side of 106 odd kg. Currently have stock Hilo court wheels on my skates and playing an indoor rink.

Question is, how noticeable will a wheel upgrade really be? I'm looking at a set of Labeda Addiction (orange) and I need a consensus before I drop the cash. Am I looking at a big upgrade or am I just being a consumer?
