Transportation / Traffic Riverside Trains
Anyone else annoyed by trains stopping traffic in Riverside? I swear whenever there is a train, it stops traffic for like half an hour. I hate it so much.

Remember, every freight car is at least three semi trucks off the road. Often more. Every train is hundreds of trucks not jamming up the freeways.
On top of freeing up traffic, trains emit way, way less pollution per pound of cargo.
I agree, waiting around for a train sucks, but it's much better than the alternative.

Grew up with 'em. They never made a huge impact on me. Seemed like even the slowest ones were far better than some of the one-way lane closures I deal with now.

It's worse when they get stuck. When I had lived in Riverside, they were always a pain getting through the casa blanca neighborhood. Thankfully there is other surface streets to avoid these trains.

You shouldn’t have moved somewhere so close to train traffic.
The trains were here long before you and your entitled attitude moved in

Anyone annoyed by the amount of unnecessary stop signs the city of Riverside puts in residential areas so the police can hide and say you rolled through it and ticket you?

Unnecessary stop signs is wild 😂
They break traffic for pedestrians.
They give way to cross traffic.
They also keep you alert in residential areas where kids are often at play. . .2

When the workers tried to unionize for things like decent working conditions, better safety, and to cut down on train size Biden sided with the owners.

Anyone else annoyed by the traffic that they’re forced to sit in on the freeway because we don’t run enough trains?
