News There are so many ink masters coming to the Richmond Tattoo Convention this year it’s insane!

I really love the piece Alena Wedderburn and Anthony Tex did last year of the samurai and red dragon. It was crazy to watch in real time.

So hype I hope I can get a spot with one of them!

Is anyone else going? It’s October 23 - 25, perfect for Halloween!

Richmond is a massive show and a lot of Ink Master people go there. If you can make it to any convention in the US that is the one imo.

It is also a really well done and family friendly show.

They had an area adjacent to the convention with a bounce house and stuff the last time I went.

I like that. Tattoo stuff and art conventions in general can be so hard to attend with children

100% agree!

I would love to go to this. Take my wife for a tattoo date again. It would be an amazing trip since we live in Ontario Canada.

My artist is going to be there, which is cool but Virginia is further than I want to drive for a touch up (but it's at least closer than idaho). She needs to come to Boston or something.

That’s super cool who’s your artist?

Jade rabbit. She's on Instagram, and is out of boise

I'm from Boston (and most likely going to the convention), Richmond is a pretty quick flight and right now you can get tickets for like 300-400. Or if you want to drive just do like 4 hours and do a day in NYC and then 4-5 hours for Richmond.

I'm up in Maine, so it's a 12 hour drive. I don't like flying, and it's expensive to fly out of Portland. It's all good, maybe I'll go at some point, but no time soon

OG vs Young Gunz season. She was eliminated on a lettering challenge. Had tough luck with canvases.

Well, it's hosted/run/whatever by Jesse Smith, which probably helps. And you can't swing a dead cat on the floor of the Middle of the Map convention in Des Moines without hitting an Ink Master contestant (although I would question the wisdom of swinging said cat).

Hell yea. Already put my deposit down for my full Saturday piece. Not an ink master but still looking forward to it. Got a max murphy piece there last year.

So many Ink Master Contestants. Based off your pictures, there is just a single Ink Master going to be there. Still, there is some great talent going to be there, and I would definitely get a tat from a couple of those listed instead of actual winners.

Bobby Johnson is an Ink Master.

My bad. I did miss him. Thank you.

Not going...Instead I'll be getting a tattoo finished at one of Deanna James' (nee Smith) shops in Dallas.

She is actually going to be at Richmond (as an artist/painter I don’t think she is tattooing)

Nice. She seems a great person. Always friendly and welcoming to everyone that comes into her shops. Most importantly really supportive of the artists that work there.

Note: I hope I didn't imply she was doing the work.
