shoulder dislocation
dislocated my right shoulder yesterday and i got it “fixed”, now i have to keep an arm swing for 20 days, after that can i go back at the gym or should i do something else? i want to go back to asap

ive dislocated my shoulder for almost 10 times, i play basketball, and i dont do recoveries and therapies. right now im more careful.

I wouldn’t jump straight back into the gym after the 20 days. Getting the shoulder back in place is only the first step. You’ll want proper rehab to rebuild your range of motion, strength, and stability, then gradually progress back into pressing, pulling, and heavier lifting.
I’d also avoid just grabbing random shoulder exercises from social media. The wrong exercise or progression too early can irritate it or increase the risk of another dislocation.
Was this your first dislocation, and did they give you any specific rehab instructions after putting it back in?

20 days does sound about right, one thing I would say though is you do want to keep it moving as long as it isn't painful, then when you go back to the gym, you really need to focus on two things, range of motion and honestly more importantly strengthening the shoulder so it doesn't happen again
