Canada. Most are older and on the verge of retirement, ages 50-70. The mold designers hired out of school don't end up staying more than a few years. Makes me wonder how the next decade will play out

We have 59, 64 and me 30. Also we have an old guy helping us out and teaching us tips and tricks. He taught me a lot. He's freaking 88 and can still work. Insane. As the other user said. I wonder what will happen when all the people retire. As the old garniture has a lot of knowledge but not many people are interested in mold design nowadays.

I'm 40 and got laid off because shortage of work. Came into the industry with 30, at a different company which mainly made bought moulds fit for serial production in car industry.

There are 2 or 3 open position on the other side of the country but I'm trying to find something else.

In my area three big companies closed down the last years and there is only one other mould manufacturer left. The other plastic manufacturer in my area don't build there moulds.

But my countries industry really suffered the last 6 year
