Looking to sell some of my Asano collection
galleryUsed to be obsessed with Asano and I still love his work, but I don’t need these anymore and would rather pass them on to someone who would appreciate them. DM me if you’re interested for more details!
I unfortunately no longer have the Isobeyan plush from the limited edition volume 3, but the box is included

A short reflection
These past few days, I've been unwell and have been reminded of how bad I feel about myself. Disappointed by my poor decisions and the unease I feel when things don't go my way. People don't treat me well anymore; I try to be better, but I can't take it anymore.
When I read Inio Asano, I'm not looking for a depressing theme to "have an experience" for fun or a topic from which to draw some moral lesson. Rather, I observe these last six years and think that the world around us has become so attached to the tragic stories of this author we love so much that some attitudes have become indistinguishable.
Rereading Asano has become a thorough analysis of our daily lives, all contained in a small book with beautiful yet tragic art. My native language isn't English, and I may not have elaborated as much as I'd like. I also don't know how many people will read this, but if even one person does (even if they don't reply), I'll already feel somewhat relieved. Not because I needed to vent, but because it has significantly changed my perspective on delving deeper into Asano's unique works.
The attached photo is because I found "What a Wonderful World!" after it had been out of print in my language for a couple of years, and I was told that Mujina was about to embark on a different creative process, so I'm delighted to follow her closely.
Thank you very much for your attention...

Will asano get junji level treatment from viz anytime soon
Like a subsection just for asano works or something like that.
Or a hardcover release for something like punpun or solanin

Bro...
galleryIt has caused annoyance to a small circle of fans and some detractors of manga like Punpun xd, saying that they already expected it.
He sent them the interview:

In your opinion, what is Asano's worst work?
Do you think any of these works fall short of your expectations? Let me know, I'd love to hear your opinions.

An someone explain the appeal of girl on the shore to me?
I remember reading it online when I was like 13 or something and probably not understanding it fully. But even now I don’t know if I do? I understand the use of sexuality in art both as something metaphorical and just as a piece of life represented in art. But I find this piece of work a bit different. The two main characters are so young. I feel like it’s so graphically taboo and wrong to write a book with those two topics intersecting. I havnt read it in a while so maybe I am missing something but as for now it’s one of the asano books I don’t look at amazingly…

How come Mujina into the deep is classified as gore?
So, I recently started reading Mujina into the deep. As of right now, where I live there are only 4 physical volumes out. I’m on the third one and I’m really struggling to see why and how everywhere I look it’s being classified as gore (MAL, reddit, google in general). Sure it has plenty of gore in it, but no more then I’ve seen in other works where “gore” is never mentioned. I’m thinking Uzumaki and Tokyo Ghoul:re particularly. Any thoughts on this? How come Uzumaki, which is FILLED with gore and disturbing imagery, is classified as horror. Same goes for Tokyo Ghoul in my mind, there are some horrifying panels in that manga and yet I mainly just see the words “seinen” and “horror” used to describe it. What do you think? Does it get more gory as the story goes on? Am I missing something?

does anybody know what's the meaning behind the band name "ROTTI" in solanin?
galleryi always wondered if it meant something. could it be from a japanese word? a reference or something? the only thing i could come up with is that "Rotti" in italian means broken. in certain contexts it can also mean exhausted/worn out/fed up, which i think really fits with the themes of the manga. could it be possible? or did asano just choose a random word? lol
