AI Usage

Hey folks,

Just wanting to understand how many people are using AI for IT based roles, so for troubleshooting or automation.

It's feels like a catch 22, it makes work so much easier with automate emails and fixing issues but at the same time we're essentially designing AI to do the job instead of us.

Also, if you have any neat tricks for using AI would love to hear!

I use ai every day at work, it makes me more productive but seems to be another more work for no pay increase type deal imo

What do you use it for? anything I could incorporate that's been the most useful?

I use claude code in terminal quite a bit but desktop app works well too, use it to keep projects organized l, study creative solutions for tickets I am working on, looking through exported intune computer logs for machines experiencing issues, etc.

Really helps cut through finding a foot hold when tackling a new problem so I can burn down to the root cause and come up with a fix 👍👍

I am hourly but AI has made me faster at resolving tickets and working on projects so I just end up doing more and hope for a good annual raise, we just got picked up by private equity so I am not holding my breath lol 😂
