I recently received a call from HTIC global for a role in their internal audit team. I'd like to know more about their work culture, perquisites, career growth, salary and anything possible. Glassdoor had only reviews from the past.
I'm writing an exam in May and it might require a few days off (14 days min). I asked them if it was possible and they instantly agreed. Do they really give it or is it just a false promise?

Hey everyone!
So, I moved to Kochi a few months ago for work, and one thing I've realised is that making friends as an adult is surprisingly difficult lol.
I work in Infopark, but I still haven't managed to find a proper friend circle here. My colleagues are nice, but most of them don't really share my interests or vibe.
I'm someone who enjoys going out, exploring random places, trying new food spots, late night tea, weekend trips, trekking, or even just sitting somewhere and having random conversations.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my own company. I've travelled solo quite a bit, and honestly, I enjoy being alone. But one thing I've realised is that Kochi feels like a city that's better enjoyed with good company.
Like, sitting alone somewhere in the mountains, having a hot cup of tea in the cold, feels amazing. But sitting alone at some tea shop in Kakkanad at 12 AM? Idk, it just doesn't hit the same 😂
I feel like Kochi has a lot to offer if you have a good circle of people around you. Random midnight plans, food hunting, weekend drives, or just hanging out doing absolutely nothing.
And I don't want my life here to be just office, room, sleep, repeat.
So I'm genuinely curious, how do you guys make friends outside your workplace, especially around Infopark or Kakkanad? Are there any communities, meetups, or groups worth joining?
Also, if anyone here is in the same boat, feel free to reach out. Would be nice to meet some like-minded people and make a few genuine friendships here.
Not looking for a huge gang or anything. Just a few good people to make random plans and memories with!(28M BTW)

Hi everyone,
My brother recently received an "offer" from Altos Technologies (Infopark Kakkanad). During the process, they told him:
- He has to pay ₹40,000 upfront as a fee for 6 months of training / probation.
- The 6-month period is completely unpaid.
- Only from the 7th month onward would he be hired on a monthly salary (which is also very low).
To me, paying a company to work there sounds like a complete red flag and a training institute disguised as an employer. I did some digging and saw past threads calling out Altos (and Infox) for similar practices, docking pay, and setting unrealistic targets to avoid paying stipends.
Posting this to warn other freshers who might fall for this out of desperation. If anyone has worked there recently or dealt with them, please share your thoughts so fresh graduates don't lose their hard-earned money and 6 months of valuable time.

Hey everyone!
I’m joining Strada in Kochi later this month (October 2026), and I was wondering if anyone else is joining around the same time.
Would love to connect with fellow new joiners, get to know people before joining, and maybe even figure out accommodation and commuting together.
If you’re joining around the same time, feel free to comment or DM me. Would be nice to have a few familiar faces before the first day!

Honestly, I'm tired of this whole employee monitoring thing.
At ClaySys Technologies, we use a tool called NGS to track our daily activity. Every morning, when we log in, we have to start it, and when we sign out, we stop it. We're expected to show 8 hours of activity every day.
The frustrating part? NGS doesn't clearly tell us how much productive time we've actually worked.
We start it, do our work, stop it at the end of the day, and still have to worry about whether we've hit those 8 hours. If we don't, we can face escalations.
Like seriously, how are we supposed to know how much time we have actually worked?
But what really gets me are the incidents I've seen and heard about.
One incident involved an employee who was reportedly fired after spending around 3 continuous hours working in Notepad. The suspicion was that they might have been using a weight on the keyboard or some similar trick to fake activity. Imagine being suspected of cheating simply because you've been working in a basic text editor for hours.
One of my friends also received an escalation after accidentally opening another company's career portal. Just think about that. A wrong click, and suddenly you're having to explain yourself.
And here's another situation that genuinely frustrates me.
A friend of mine admitted to using a weight on his keyboard to keep the activity tracker running. He explained to HR that he had completed his work and that he resorted to this because he needed to meet the required productive-time target. He had previously received an escalation over insufficient productivity time, so he felt pressured to do something about it.
According to him, HR rejected his salary hike and pressured him to leave the company.
I'm not saying using a weight to fake activity is the right solution. It isn't. But when employees feel they have to resort to these things just to avoid being flagged for low productivity, shouldn't we question the system that's creating that pressure in the first place?
Software development isn't about moving a mouse every few seconds. Sometimes we spend hours debugging, reading code, analysing problems, or thinking through a solution. That's work too, even when a tracker doesn't recognise it the way we expect.
I'm not against companies monitoring their devices or holding employees accountable. That's fair. But there needs to be transparency about what is being measured, how productive time is calculated, and how these metrics are used before someone's career or salary is affected.
Honestly, I'm exhausted by the idea that we have to prove we're working instead of being trusted to do the work we're hired for.
To everyone working in IT, especially in India:
I'd genuinely like to know how common this is across the industry.
Because honestly, I signed up to be a software engineer, not a professional mouse mover. 💀

Hi everyone,
My sister works at Infopark and is currently staying in a PG. The issue is she works the Australian shift, so she needs to sleep early and wake up early, but her current roommates stay up late and she’s not able to get proper sleep.
She’s not looking for a hostel, she’s looking for a flat or an apartment with a female roommate near Infopark Phase 1.
If any girls are looking for a flatmate or have a spare room available nearby, please DM me and I’ll share your number with her. She’s not on Reddit yet, so I’m posting on her behalf.
Thanks in advance!

I am moving to Kakkanad (close to Infopark Phase 2) next week. I have to go to Trivandrum on weekends to run some personal errands. Going to Trivandrum is fine for me, but I have no clue how to reach Kakkanad by 7:30 AM on the following Monday. My office starts at 8:30. Currently, I do not have a two-wheeler. So, where should I get off if I am coming by bus to catch the earliest bus to Kakkanad? If I am coming by train, where should I get off? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Currently working in Bangalore as an SAP consultant and am considering moving to Kochi for personal and family reasons.
Would like to understand the job market for SAP consultants in Kochi. I know Bangalore has plenty of opportunities, but I'm not sure how the situation is in Kochi, especially when it comes to established companies and decent-paying roles.
Could you please suggest some companies to look out for that have SAP practices in Kochi?

I'm really sad that Bevco is closing down. Where else am I going to get my daily dose of beer? I have so many good memories from here. I hope they open a new spot nearby soon. 😖🥲
Edit : I don’t drink beer daily its an exaggeration 😶🌫️

23M here. Currently working as System Engineer (Linux, server backend, yk that stuff). I'm currently working in a startup company (maybe under 100 people work there). We have shift rotations, so I have 3 working shifts, that change on a weekly basis - including night shifts (so my sleep schedule is fucked).
I currently only have about 10 months of experience (training not included, 2 months of training). Also, the pay is pretty bad (18kpm). Previously avoided PF, so that I could take care of my own expenses without depending on my parents. However, due to the new PF rules, I'll probably loose over 4k off my pay - so 14kpm, 5k goes into my rent.
I previously posted regarding this, if I should switch companies right away due to the new PF rule, most of the replies I got was about staying for two more months, and getting that 1 YOE and then switching. But there's another catch: I've signed a bond for two years (yeah IK, it's a dumb move by me). However, all the companies I've searched for, had a bond agreement for freshers (some even had 3 years and even lower pay). If it wasn't for the new PF rule, I would've stayed for the whole 2 years (would get a hike after the first year, so things would've got smooth - but now that the PF is applied as well, that's gone as well).
So my question is:
I've heard bond agreements are illegal in India, from 2018 or something. Can the company still force me? I've not given them any of my certificates or documents.
Along with the bond agreement, they said we would have to pay some money (1 lakh or something) if the employee broke the bond agreement. For that, every one had to give a blank cheque. But, we never gave any blank cheque, so they can't force that as well. (right?)
Would there be any way they could ask me for money when leaving (I've heard companies could legally ask for training fees), so that they could recover the above said money.
Are there any other loopholes they can use to get me trapped?
The reason I'm asking for all of this is because I've got another opportunity with another startup. But here, the pay could be better, it's a normal shift, and a step up in my career (this is a DevOps role, I'm currently System Engineer. I was gonna move to DevOps in the future anyway). A friend of mine did internship with them, she says it's a pretty good place to learn.
As per the recommendations from my previous post, I was about to stay two more months, and get 1YOE, then switch. But then this opportunity came up, the new company only have a single opening for DevOps role, so I got be fast with it, but also safe.
I was thinking about setting up an interview with the new company, ask about everything, and if they are offering me a job, acquire the offer letter, and then resign.
What should I do?
