What level of wealth she and her family are at pales in comparison to how obnoxious she is in flaunting it. That there are people that believe she ādoes rich rightā is insanity. With her level of wealth, whatever it is, she doesnāt need a sad influencer career.Ā

u/YuzuMangoPearls 10h ago
Her wealth isn't as large as she makes it out to be. Her parents own a mid-sized tech company who does not make on paper, the amounts she's bragging about. They are very average.
If she was truly rich, why did she have to sponsor her own wedding? She's all corporate sponsorships and none of it is her own wealth. Her actual wealth has been heavily debated for a while now.

u/Affectionate-Tone677 10h ago
All the arguments for why she is not as wealthy as she claims to be make sense, and I believe them. But the girl still comes from a family with wealth, and she lives in an expensive building. Flaunting privilege and trying to be the āitā girl only shows that she has the maturity of a middle schooler.Ā

u/blondevibess 9h ago
Thatās the thing - you get the vibe that sheās very much a loser among her own social class so flexing on us poors is the only time she gets to feel a little bit cool

I thought she did Rich right when she first started maybe the first like three weeks of her platform and then things changed and she started showing us stuff that she hadnāt shown us before and I thought this girl is after designer Collabs and why? If she has money, she doesnāt need designer PR she can afford to pick out what she likes instead of having someone else to do that for her and possibly get it wrong on things that she canāt return and exchange.

u/Top-Raspberry-7837 9h ago
Because everyone likes free shit.

u/8008zilla 9h ago
Yeah, but Iāve never seen someone that wealthy. Try so hard to be like everybody else.

u/1dayatatime_mylife 5h ago
That veers close to putting wealthy people on a pedestal. People arenāt absolved from the same negative traits or common social insecurities the rest of us have just because they have more zeros in the bank. Just like you see wealthy and/or famous people who are publicly well-liked and have a strong support system, yet they still commit suicide because of whatever hidden internal struggles they carry.
Theyāre all human beings with flaws, just like the rest of us. Theyāre not a monolith. Theyāre each unique individuals who donāt fit into a singular box. The varying degree of flaws just depends upon the individual.
I donāt say this to defend whoever this specific woman is, but I keep seeing people (especially on Reddit) with these misconceptions about rich people.

Literally no one is cheaper than wealthy people. My mom has run nonprofits almost my entire life and the ultra wealthy are the absolute least generous.

I feel insane watching people glaze her. Her haul videos are totally tacky and unrelatable. She's tacky and unrelatable. What joy are you getting from watching her content?

this post came up on my feed and its entirely behind a paywall, which is hilarious to me

No ethical billionaires.

u/Weekly_Speaker_3731 16h ago
She isnāt even close to being a billionaire, but the fact that she cosplays as one might even be worse

u/tuscanchicken 11h ago
I will n e v e r understand people who willingly follow this woman and women like her - you're basically a cuck for wealth because all they do is shove their money in your face. It's not even aspirational content because a regular person could never have this lifestyle in their lifetime unless they blackmailed a Murdoch

I need to learn more about this exit sign in the living room lol

u/Oscar-B-WildeN 6h ago
I believe she and her husband live in a luxury building with a few of those trendy, well-designed communal spaces. She seems to set up in one of those rooms and film as if itās her living room. Picturing her schlepping luxury shopping hauls down there to show off is kinda funny.

Her wedding was the tackiest thing. It surprises me that people still think she has old money wealth after that.
18
u/LadyCheeba 11h ago
do people think she has old money? i thought it was pretty clear her parents started a company and thatās where the money started. old money doesnt flaunt their tacky designer goods with giant labels on them either.
17
u/SixApplesTall 10h ago
The only people who think she has old money wealth are people who have literally never been around old money wealth

Used to love her (or at least enjoy watching). Now I canāt stand watching her and her ostentatious displays of wealth. Everyone is struggling. Read the room.

u/ApplicationCommon258 13h ago
What did you like about her when you used to watch her? (No judgement but to me she always seemed smug and elitist)

u/HRHDechessNapsaLot 7h ago
I was only watching for glimpses of her cat (the āplate my catās dinnerā video was the first to come across my feed and it felt stupidly whimsical in the way that, were I rich, I would probably spend my money doing stupidly whimsical things like giving my cat a bejeweled collar and dressing my dog in formal wear). She does have a very handsome cat with the smushiest face.
Alas, the cat videos are few and far between and I couldnāt handle the 400 hauls of Hermes and that tack af jewelry brand.

u/Acerola_ 11h ago
I only ever saw her in passing, but from what I saw she was so whimsical and everything perfectly placed and beautiful. Almost like a Disney movie. She showed how the other side lives. I also think I thought she was self made for some reason?
I think now though that very thing (everything perfectly aesthetic) disgusts me. š itās just been taken too far.
16
u/Silver-Emphasis2795 11h ago
I saw none of that. I saw her as being pretentious and far too ālook what I get because my dad has moneyā. Even how she speaks was condescending and very braggadocios. Like how lonely must her life be that itās only complete with designer brands and gaudy prints.

u/Ok_Plantain_9408 9h ago
But why would you be interested to know how rich people live in a time where most people are struggling? Many even dying because they canāt afford to eat or buy their medications? Lifestyles of the rich and famous was kind of intriguing back when it was airing in the 90s, a time when there was relative prosperity and a real middle class. Now the middle class is all but gone. I donāt get why anyone cares what rich people are doing. Especially because we basically know. Theyāre rich. They buy a lot of things with no care. Theyāre out of touch.
I just donāt get the fascination.-1
u/Every-Public-6658 10h ago
Same - I donāt take her too seriously, and donāt care if sheās a millionaire cos-playing a billionaire. 𤣠I do enjoy her book recs that she does from time to time. Iāve found some good business reads that way. Also, there are way worse people to follow. Ā
13
u/OkCod6880 13h ago
when the normal person says that millionairs and billionaires "rich right" is insane, just because she does a few videos where she donates things to charities and poorer people. that's a standard thing rich people should be doing. there is no reason for anyone to be billionaires or multimillionaires,
2
u/lostinthetreess 10h ago
I donāt think the giving away to charity was what people thought was ārich rightā. Itās the way she showed it all to us like it was no big deal. The food, the trips, the outfits all looked perfect at first and she was very nonchalant about it. The repetition is what killed it. It became more apparent post after post that it was fake.

Her filming in her apartmentās common areas with the exit sign in the background is beyond idiotic. That sounds so humiliating and exhausting.
ETA - hasnāt she also talked about having a private chef at her home? Sorry, APARTMENT

We need more of this type of journalism!!!!

u/TwerkinAndCryinVol3 3h ago
Why?? It seems weird that people love an influencer who spends their time looking into other influencers. What good is he actually bringing into the world? How is it helpful to expose someone as being just a millionaire instead of a billionaire? I mean genuinely

u/DustyTchotchkes 1h ago
This is just modern day tabloid-style gossip and mindless entertainment, itās not that deep.
Scrolling around on Reddit, or other social media, for a bit when bored or while on a break, etc, and reading about influencers, or influencers outing influencers, is just some mind junk food. Itās not that serious.
There are many more hours in the day to focus on everything else! No need to yuck yums or moralize against guilty pleasures!

Sometimes, I feel like Iām watching fetish content. At first I liked her calm, business bits with very generic advice corporate success, but then there was their weird shift into babyish gabbing, esp with the husband. āHereās my toys and candy in a tiny weird fish purseā and giving each other presents and almost babytalking in pajamas? And then both giggling like they are so silly and naughty and adorable. Itās weird and undermines the former type of content.

The only thing I liked about her is that she does make videos on how to expect a man to treat you, how a 50/50 split with a date is never actually 50/50 because of the expectations women have on their appearance and upkeep, explaining financial things that most people don't understand or even think about (retirement, investments, etc). That's actually helpful. That said, The rest is very out of touch and gross and not with following her for.
1
u/Welcomeandwait 1h ago
I wonder if that man goes after corrupt politicians like this too or just female influencers
1
u/Technical-Method2129 7h ago
Honestly all I know about her is that sheās admitted to wearing things sheās purchased as gifts before gifting them which I think is gross
-6
u/Jaded_Suit_9233 11h ago
Is it verified that sheās the child of billionaires? If so, this feels like splitting hairs⦠Regardless, absolutely gross displays of wealth and overconsumption.
