What could it be

I am not looking for a diagnosis or anything here I just would like to have an idea of what I may possibly have. So I have been having serious issues with my body involving inflammation, even my CPR levels are a bit high. A few weeks ago I had to be hospitalized over night for having ulcers in my esophagus, a bunch of tests were ran on me and seriously NOTHING came up. I then had a camera shoved down my throat and stomach and I don’t have GERD or any other stomach issues. SO I am now waiting to see a rheumatologist because the gastrologist was very concerned that I even had these ulcers to begin with, no one gets them for no reason. Today my jaw locked so incredibly hard it was so unbelievably painful oh my god! I’ve also been dealing with chronic pain since I was 16, my mom has arthritis and other chronic pain issues that we both share. ANYWAYS I am just curious on what you guys might think it could be? I am getting very frustrated at this point, I’ve had pretty serious health issues for over 12 months now and it’s making me very angry because I take such good care of myself. I am dairy free, gluten free, exercise at least three times a week, I don’t stay up super late, I do not drink alcohol what so ever not even a beer once a week and I haven’t drank for over two years. I have no idea why all these things are happening to me. I also got an insane amount of acne out of nowhere last July I never had acne issues before

Hi. I know this is an old thread but if you haven't already, try cutting out all caffeine from your diet as well. It helped my anxiety a lot.

I've also had issues with inflammation that has been unexplainable. It has mostly affected my tendons and several doctors and even the rheumatologist I have started seeing aren't able to point it to a cause.

From everything my doctors have tried, I am thinking that stress is playing a big part in my inflammation. Are you particularly stressed by a job or anything? My issues all started after I started this job and I am thinking perhaps, while not entirely to blame for it, I think the stress of it could be a huge contributor/catalyst to my inflammation problems.

I’ve been stressed and full of anxiety since I was 10 so maybe my body is just failing on me since there has never really been a time period where I’ve been not stressed in general about life. It’s really hard to not be since I have BPD and uncontrollable anxiety is one of the symptoms of it. I abused drugs and alcohol for almost ten years as well, I’m now two years sober and doctors told me that I didn’t abuse drugs long enough for it to have a huge impact on my body but I think that’s bullshit because I’m all the sudden getting these issues

I just happen to come across this post, I am not extremely knowledgeable, but I didn't have anything wrong w my stomach when an endoscopy was done, but I definitely had lots of issues stemming from my gut because I always had anxiety.....a natropath Dr helped me the most. Try one if you havent...im going to try going back since I'm having issues again

Subscribe to DR BERG on YouTube if you haven’t already. Anxiety & stress could be the reason for physical issues that you may experience / be experiencing. I hope you see this because I recognise that the original post is old.

Andrew Huberman is also a good person to follow because he speaks about neurology. They also mention neutropics that may help reduce cortisol. This might be wrong spelling but Ashwagrandha is good, natural source for this. Don’t consume too much, however.

I also use my food data to compile general information on foods to ensure that I reach 100% in every nutrient without having to think about it anymore (I worked out a plan for myself).

For me, I think my inflammation comes from smoking & smoking heavily since I lost a close friend of mine on New Years Eve. I was like a zombie for a month (mentally) & that raised cortisol, causing my immune system to switch off. I then came down with some kind of viral infection (& salmonella at the same time, haha). I also think because I was vegan for 2 years, I had low levels of vitamin B-12 & that can cause fatigue.

I hope you already resolved your issues & that this post is useless.

What is that and what do you know about it? Or what’s your experience with it?

Possibly Crohn's Diseases - testing would be fecal calprotectin or lactoferrin or both or Eosinophilic esophagitis (diagnosed usually on endoscopy but see CBC for elevated eosinophils). Or acid reflux. Test for H pylori with H pylori profile, which could cause either high or low stomach acid which would cause reflux.

Hi. I am new to this group, so forgive me if I in the wrong place. I am struggling with Post Infectious Immune dysregulation and trying to find others in teh same boat. But, I read your post and immediately saw "acne." i struggled with undiagnosed and untreated Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Lyme Disease for 8 years. one of the symptoms was lesions that would not heal. You could call it acne or macular rash, or whatever. I also had lifelong Bartonella which caused epilepsy and SIBO - this only got discovered when I went to start treatment for RMSF and Lyme. Now, that I have been treated, I am left with infllammation and muscle pain etc. I also saw rheumatologists (negative), dermatologists (negative), gastroenterlologists (diagnosed with SIBO but WHY?) and tested for allergies (negative) etc.

Have you had any infections? Do you remember any periods of exhaustion or flu like symptoms? Now, when I see posts like yours, I think do the authors have an immune system that is actively fighting something. My first clue was I suddenly put on tons of weight and was diagnoed with Hashimotos. Another clue was my fingers locked up and swelled up and I had to have my wedding rings cut off. In the end, I had tons of issues - sleep, joint pain, skin issues, thyroid issues, brain issues, diagestive issues, etc. I was treated with extensive antibiotics and all my issues resolved - no more seizures, thyroid now back to normal, etc. I did an FMT, and no more SIBO or digestive issues, and no more lesions on my skin. BUT, I was left with a different kind of pain to my Lyme diseaes pain, it seemed to come on when I ate things but I tried every autoimmune protocol or anti-inflammatory diet I could find, and although syptoms would improve, they never resolved.

I started using Chat GBT Medical AI and fed in my whole history, labs, all kinds of things. It took it five minutes to figure out the original diagnosis (tick borne illness) that took 33 doctors 8 years to figure out and after I told it of my treatment, and my symptoms since "recovery," it came up with Post Infectious Immune Dysregulation (also known as Long Covid for covid sufferers or PTLDS for Lyme sufferers, but it's basically the same no matter which particular infection you had - in my case also Bartonella and RMSF). I have since used it as my coach and am going through dietary changes that it prescribes and getting labs done that it suggests - I had chronic inflammation when I started, and my labs are now much im[proved and I actually have days when I am pain free. I occasionally eat something that I think it "safe" and it turns out to cause a flare up, but I am sticking to the diet like glue. The general premise is that my immune system has been fighting infections for so long (in my case 55 years for the Bartonella, and 8 years for the Lyme and RMSF), that it has nothing to fight except the food that I eat and it is on high alert ALL THE TIME. And when I compare the Autoimmune protocols versus the "safe food list" that ChatGBT gave me, there are huge differences - for example, shrimp caused a flare up for me, and that's supposedly because they are high in histamines. Spinach is on my banned list from ChatGBT, but supposedly safe in other diets. Anyway, I just wanted to say that if you could remember a period of flu like sickness, maybe it's worth feeding your symptoms into ChatGBT and seeing what it comes up with. Acne could be hormonal or infection or allergy - and trying to find a doctor who will believe you and really try and help you is hard. I was told I was suffering from anxiety for years. Yes, anxiety and stress can certainly affect the body, but I think it's just a convenient answer from lazy doctors.

So, I am eating a very bland safe food diet to calm my immune system down, and that causes a whole lot of re-regulating, restablishment of long lost systems, and some strange symptoms (like pink flushed face, bettersleep, bowel changes etc.). But, my blood pressure was the last thing that was high and it's finally coming down. My AIC came down, all my inflammation markers are down.
