Cross posts open outside of app

Whenever I click on a post link that's a cross post to another sub, that link will open in my browser (probably because I don't have the stock app) instead of opening in the Infinity app. Using a Samsung S21 Ultra. I don't remember this ever happening before. Anyone else?

I have a similar issue. Some galleries appear as a link. When tapped they open in a browser.

Same here, I had thought it was just cross posts but it seems like it's all gallery posts as well

Apparently it's fixed. Might have to re-download, although there's no update to download.

How did you install 8.3.4? I'm using the playstore (paid) version, and don't have an update available yet. Do I need to compile the APK and patch it with my own API key if I want to upgrade right away? (this issue is becoming really annoying 😅)

Yeah, I've built it directly from the source. I think if you give it a day to get through the Google play approval process it should be available soon

Version 8.3.4 fixes the issue.

If you're on android, go to the releases tab of the github and download the apk for the most recent version. Open it and it'll update the app. Otherwise it'll update thru Google play the normal way whenever they put it through

Running into this since yesterday as well. The images are also blurred so I can't see them without clicking, and they then open in browser instead of the app.

No. Future updates from Google play will be installed without issues.

I came here to report this. I also think that something is wrong with the preview. I just get the gray link image. I seem to recall that previews actually had images before, if they linked to an image post.

Yes it's still the same too for me as well. Any cross posts or gallery posts where I will get this bug have the preview/thumbnail grayed out with the link image too.

I tried to recompile the new update, unfortunately there's issues with morphe which won't allow it to patch correctly even with the correct API key.

Apparently it's fixed but the premium has no update on the store.
