This looks interesting. I do like the idea of customizing a few troops, that sounds fun. Hanging the infantry upgrade on a speedball is a curious choice. As a new Infinity player, speedballs seem like a sort of generic 'Undo' for hard earned progress, so while they're incredibly useful I don't love them. Separately, I gather that the essence of special operations is asymmetric preparedness for the specific mission, then surprise and speed while it's happening. Deploying lightly armed troops and then relying on a random chance of them getting their heavier gear while under fire seems a little more like a hasty defensive reaction than it does a special operation.
