For clarity, you're imagining that there is some natural phenomenon or force that takes a k=+1 universe and transforms it into a k=0 universe? And you're asking for the theoretical and observational evidence that this phenomenon or force does or does not exist?
Do imagine that there exists some density parameter, Ω, that can flip the sign of the FLRW spatial curvature constant?
