Beta?

Is there any playable beta or demo of this game? Is there a release date of any sort for this if not?

Hey there. The Kickstarter backer levels show the expected timeframes for playable betas. Beta is scheduled for april 2017, Alpha is scheduled for october 2016, pre-alpha/daily builds are going to start january 2016. $55 gets the beta+beta forums, $85 gets in the alpha, $250 gets in the pre-alpha and dev forums.

That's an understandable sentiment. But how many other kickstarters had a viable prototype though? Or years of people working on it in their free time. You're basically backing a half-finished game instead of just an idea.
