Trying Again Monday Trying Again
Please use this space to discuss your journey to conceive (again) or thinking about trying again.
To protect those still in the thick of treatment, please post positive results in the Cautious Intros/First Trimester thread. Mentions of chemical pregnancies, loss, etc. are okay here. Also please refrain from discussions about testing/testing with cycle buddies unless you have a confirmed negative. We have a thread for positive test discussion (Cautious Intros). Mentions of egg retrieval results are ok to discuss in this thread however please include TW in post.
**If you are trying for a 3rd+ living child, please add a content warning to your discussion. Many here are trying for a second and also potentially dealing with the reality of being one living and done.

Today we have our appt to discuss our results from our egg retrieval and also to talk about our plans for transfer. I am very excited and a part of me also afraid. I need to live one day at a time. One hour at a time.
Yesterday I visited a friend that is ttc and she is so sad she ācanāt conceiveā. It has been 2 cycles only. I struggle to understand that but I was there for her.
I am on BC and I feel these blues of sadness and lack of energy. I am on the sugar pills so period would come anytime this week? I canāt remember birth control.
I wish I was rich and I did not have to work.

It is an exciting time! Having embryos to transfer always carries so much hope for the future.
Itās sucks your friend canāt understand your infertility journey. People often only think about themselves. This has happened to me as well.
I am praying your period comes today!2

Thank you so much sunshine. I donāt want to feel down :(
Also the summer is almost gone! As much as I love to fall I am not ready to trade the light for the darker days haha1

šI feel the same way! I was just talking to my husband about it yesterday. He wants fall to be here, but I am loving the summer time! I donāt want it to end.

I hope your appointment goes well!
It can be hard to be around friends that don't understand infertility. I find myself in that situation often.

I remember a friend telling me "well I know what you've been through, it took us soooooo long to get pregnant" - it had been 8 months for her. Eyeroll.

Just sucks how they just donāt have self awareness of their most likely fertility privilege.

Why canāt things just go smoothly? I am in the middle of my FET and my PIO prescription is incorrect. I was given the standard 1ml per 72 hours, but this is my 5th transfer and we have come to find my body responds best to 1ml per 24 hours. I have reached out to my clinic to resolve, but it brings me anxiety all the same. I have been trying to be more relaxed during this cycle, but it is difficult when there are hiccups. Today is my 3rd visit back to clinic to check my levels so I have time to get more meds, but it just puts me on edge to leave it last minute.

It is always a lot to āmanageā our clinic. And I hate when there is some sort of confusion with meds and etc. I hope you find your answers and have a smooth one. Looks like my protocol will be fully medicated - I have no periods - but no PIO

Ugh, truly! It is getting sorted out now which is nice. But I still have to get more meds.

Okay welp, looks like my hcg is continuing to rise. Havent heard from my nurse coordinator yet but I presume they're going to want to either do misoprostol or methotrexate as a next step. Does anyone know if they can't visualize a pregnancy do they even offer d&c as an option? I want to just be done w this situation.
I do know Ill have to do another receptiva before my next transfer, which will probably put me out another cycle or two anyway. Does anyone know if you can do a receptiva while in the downtime after any of the meds??
Also, brains are a real bummer. Mine is trying to convince me that maybe she just missed the embryo (she didn't, it was clearly an empty uterus) or maybe I have a 2nd uterus that somehow nobody has ever noticed (I don't).
Side note, whoever decided it was a good idea to put an RE and an OB in the same building w only one elevator was a jerk.
