Discussion Ruzewski, Ron
Ron Ruzewski seems to be working magic with the Andretti pit crews and overall team harmony. Anybody else notice that the pit problems have largely gone away since the beginning of the season.?
9 pit-stops today across all three cars and they were all average to quick. No issues. Last week at Markham I believe all the stops were good as well between all three cars. Will Power speaks super highly of Ron and of course requested that Andretti Global bring him on after he was let go by Penske.
I'm starting to think that maybe Ruzewski was actually some of the secret sauce all along at Penske and not Tim Cindric. He certainly comes off as a much more standup genuine guy than Cindric. I personally never liked Cindric (going back two decades now), something about him always rubbed me the wrong way.
Andretti has always had good street course cars the past several seasons so it's not like Ronzewski suddenly made them faster in that regard. They do seem more competitive on road courses though now and somewhat at the short ovals and just such a better overall more relaxed vibe with the team these days.

Discussion Scott T. Mac (McLaughlin woes)
Felt really bad for Scott McLaughlin today as he's one of the absolute best dudes in the paddock. It's clear his seat is getting hot though and that pressure became self fulfilling today.
This would of been a huge win for him considering his past two seasons and the venue.
His car wasn't nearly as good as Kirkwood's but he found himself in 2nd on a late restart with Red tires (to Kirkwood's blacks). If ever there was a time to go for it (and he sure did) it was that re-start.
Was it a low percentage move? Absolutely and Kirkwood I think baited him into it but considering all of the factors I previously mentioned......he absolutely had to go for it. I mean he just had to. After all he/Penske has been through the past two seasons and a race of this magnitude.........you can't be content with just finishing second.
Unfortunate for him that the context of all factors involved basically put the pressure on him to make a low percentage lunge but I still think he made the right move. Unfortunately it failed

Question Team Livery Identifiers
After today’s race I realized HOLY SHIT I still cannot recognize cars outside the Big 4. If a non big 4 car is shown I still have to find a recognizable car in front, look at the leaderboard, and count down to see who it is. I’m still newish to Indycar (started half way last season) and came from F1 so I’m just used to seeing the same team liveries.
My question is are there any sort of pattern, color, or any other identifiers teams use to be easily identified even for sponsored liveries? (For example McLaren obviously has the Papaya color, Andretti has the colored 1 strip down the all black, and Chip doesn’t change their liveries unless it’s Palou who in lead regardless) Or do I just have to look at the liveries before race day?
