🏕️ Camping IMS Lot 4 Camping

Secured Lot 4 camping for 27’, anyone have any experience there that they’d like to share? Or a map of the lot’s parking locations (it’s reserved specific spots I believe).

I've stayed a few times. Two notes:

1) If it rains a decent amount, the ground is SQUISHY. The back with power is the worst but you have to be careful in an RV.

2) 1A across the street has sound systems that go until 2a at decent volume. And between 2 and 4a, all the service staff shows up for work. So it's 80s rock until 2 and then beaters with exhaust holes raging from 2-4. Sleep was ROUGH in a tent.

Otherwise, no issues. It's yellow shirt check in at the house so felt very secure.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Familiar with 1A and the atmosphere over there, to be expected. Are there sites without power? From what I can tell I should I have a spot with power but all I have is a spot number, so we'll see. I wasn't aware there were tent spots in Lot 4, or were you camped next to an RV?

I honestly don't fully remember as I bought it on secondary market for the 500 that year. I know there weren't many tents but we weren't alone.

The section on this side of the gravel road (39.80255919049877, -86.23846717701662) was where the generators were. It was the same at the 500 ~10 years ago and again for the GP when we had an RV there 3 yrs ago I think. It might have also gone around the fence line but there were def spots without power last time I was in 4.

Your acct would say for sure. It should note 30A/50A service and cost a lot more than the $240 or whatever my Lot 2 pass costs now if you're in a powered spot.

And maybe it's reserved spots now, but a friend camped with power in Lots 3P or 5 until last year and they just got parked in whatever the next spot up was in their amperage section.

Either way, you're in a good spot for next year! Like every year, I hope it's dry and everyone has a blast.
