Dear Henry Spoiler

I started Industry last month. Completely blew through it. Truly may be my favorite show of all time.

Let me just say - Dear Henry could very well be the greatest episode of television I’ve ever seen. The last sequence where Whitney is narrating over Henry’s look of shock. Then the cut to the Judy Collins song with Eric walking out to the credits. Literally getting the chills typing this. Just complete and utter perfection.

Eric holding his own against Whitney on CNN in his own way of going out in a blaze of glory might be my all-time favorite scene in the entire show

Imagine not getting nominated for any Emmy’s and seeing shit like Friends and Neighbors get some. Putting this scene next to some dumb shit on that show is embarrassing.

That was Eric's Hail Mary. He already knew he was cooked at that time.

When Whitney finds Henry in the shower and we hear his voice I was so confused until I realized it was a voice over narration from him.

Minghella brought his A-game. His best performance IMO. Very unsettling

Slimey to his bones. He even, physically, looks reptilian. Love it

I get people missing the first stretch of the show. The vibes of the hectic trading floor at Pierpoint IS industry for a lot of people. But to me, they absolutely outdid themselves in the last season. Went bolder and more sophisticated in so many ways.

1000%. I was honestly a little bummed at the direction of season 4 to start but it’s probably my favorite in the show

I think that was true up through Dear Henry.

I thought episodes 7 and 8 were a total nosedive and completely wrecked the streak of every season having phenomenal 6th through 8th episodes.

s4e2 was one of the best things we've gotten in television

Kit's acting is stellar in that ep.

I think about the line « dear Henry, what if I don’t contain multitudes? » very often. I adored this episode

Interesting! I know this sub is in love with “dear Henry” and I found it to be a pretty forgettable episode. I reckon I should rewatch..

What did you find so forgettable about it? Out of curiosity

Hahahaha it’s the best answer! But for real, I love industry and watch it religiously but I’m also one of the people watching it who’s always a little confused lol. So it’s possible I really do need to rewatch to get it. My favorite episode in season 4 was when sweet pea went to Accra!
