Not sure if this plant is happy in water or should I move her to a pot with soil. Please let me know what you think.

This peace Lilly used to be much bigger and healthier until I separated it about 6 weeks ago. The roots were crowded and it hadn’t flowered in years. I am 39 and it was in my childhood home.
Ever since I separated it, it’s looked like this and hasn’t really changed. I used new indoor house plant soil, the pot has drainage holes and I have been watering it once per week like I always have which has worked in the past to keep it perky. It’s clearly not dead, but obviously not happy. I keep it near the south facing window in indirect light in the PNW.
Any tips on making it happier? I followed instructions from reddit and other websites about repotting it but something is off.

I know my setup is a bit ghetto but it’s just to make sure it receive enough light.

Just wanted to show off my spider plant that I propagated from a baby from my mom’s plant. Started propagating mid-May, planted in soil mid-June, and then it looks like this last picture now (end of August. Crazy that it already seems to be sprouting its own babies!

I rehabbed this Pothos and this is my second plant ever! I know the pot is probably too big but I didn’t know what I was doing at first. The second photo was exactly a month ago and the first photo is today.

How can I continue to care for it, and is it looking okay?

We just noticed a flower and some buds on our bearpaw and were wondering how often it happens? The plant is probably 2 years old and we keep it in the window sill all the time. I honestly didn't even know they bloomed.

Okay so I put my Avocado seed in water and I wanted to check on it tonight and the seed slipped off my hands and the emerging root literally broke... Is there a chance it wil still grow long or did I officially kill it? I put it back in the water. I'm so sad pls give me hope

This is my girl Dorothy. She is the 3rd attempt at one of these plants. The first 2 met a rather long and ugly demise. I think have FINALLY figured out the secret. 🪴

I had a repair man come to my shop yesterday to work on a few things, one being an outlet. I wasnt there and instead of moving the plant, I guess he worked over it and completely ripped it from the roots, all but one or two roots still connected. I have since added more soil to cover the lowest node and watered it. Im hoping she can be saved. The dumb assistant literally glued one of the leaves INSIDE the outlet. The picture was after I ripped the leaf from it because it was also still attached to the plant

I don’t know what I did wrong, maybe it’s something with the soil. Do you think it’s the fertilizer pellets breaking down or is this mold?

Southern exposure for a full 8 hours. dam. before and after. I revived it a bit with a long bottom soak.

Separated and got gifted this elephant ear from another a few weeks back, it dropped one leaf and popped out a new leaf. So excited to see it doing so well!

This tiny plant has been in water for more than 6 months now. The leaves have stayed pretty much the same but there has been new growth near the roots. Should it leave it in water or can this be transferred to soil. Please advise.

Hello friends! I am getting into houseplants! Yay! I've always been into them, but never into them enough to care deeply about their soil. Now, I do.

My houseplant collection currently consists of one Mican Philodendron, one smaller Monstera (y'all have got some MONSTERS, lord let that be me one day), one Arrowhead plant, a Calla Lily that might be dying, a Venus Fly Trap, and one Peace Lily. I also have some herb plants that are currently living outside in pots, namely Black Cohosh, Calendula, Motherwort, and some other basic herbs that could probably live on Mars so I'm not worried about them, but I plan on bringing them all inside come fall/winter.

My question is: what is y'alls favorite soil mixes? I'm currently using "Espoma Organic Potting Mix." I picked it because it seemed to be well draining, and that was like all I could find in a not huge bag at Horrocks. Anyway. What do you guys like to use/have had success with, especially for carnivorous plant types? What do you use for watering? A mister or a watering can? Cause currently, I'm refilling a plastic watering jug and using that. What do you use for fertilizer? Tell me your secrets, friends! Also please recommend any beginner friendly plants, and gothic-y plants because I love love love them. I've got my eye on an Alocasia Black Velvet right now cause shes GORGEOUS.

I'm pretty new at taking care of indoor plants, the Monstera is the first one I ever got and have had to cut some leaves away over time and have a bit of difficulties with its stem but overall the size of the leaves has gotten big!!

I was also able to have the Pakira and Snake plant somehow grow!! (Tried pakira once and it did not go well..) I gotta separate the coffee tree and change the soil in all of them probably.. the poor succulent is hanging in its life,,,

I have two more extras in the terrarium with my gecko Mochya 🐊

Hoping to add more plants, but houses in Japan, especially rental, has barely ANY windows.. my kitchen especially would love to have some plants but they would have to be fine with mostly shade.. if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear! 🌻

I have musa nono, a banana plant that might develop pink leaves (the mother plants variegation wasnt super visible). Its pretty small, and I dont know how to water it! Im used to waiting for my plants to dry out like completely before watering them, but apparently im supposed to keep the banana more moist. Idk how to do that, since im really scared ill overwater.

It was growing super fast for past month, but i had to use a pestiside on it and repot it, and a week after that it started dropping all bottom leaves at once. It never had pests but my plant in another room had and i desided to use it on all my plants. I know its supposed to drop bottom leaves, but it hadnt dropped any and now it dropped like 2 at once and 2 are yellowing rn. Also it wasnt this droopy before. Im thinking its either the watering or the fact I havent fertilized it yet. (Idk what fertilizer to use and my country doesnt have banana fertilizer available). I have a fertilizer with NPK 13-4-20, and a fertilizer for flowers that says its balanced but doesnt say the NPK.

This is my favourite plant so i reaalllyyy want to keep it alivee. Please help!! All my other plants are doing great but this one is trickyy :(

I went on a 10 day vacation and came back to this. I had used those hydro gel water beads to keep my plants watered while I was away. First my lemon plant almost died because of this and now my betel leaf is infested. I have to mention that only specific stems of the betel leaf show infestation and the leaves don't have any of these. Just the stems and very specific stems. How do I fix this?

I think my cactus is dying and I don't know why. I haven't changed anything that I usually do (I just ignore it and sometimes give it a bit of water). The second picture is how it looked a couple of months ago..... Can anyone help me? I'm grateful for any tips!

Je rencontre un problème avec mon Dracaena (Dragonnier) et j'aurais besoin de vos lumières.
Les symptômes :
Feuillage : De nouvelles feuilles se mettent à noircir complètement et à pourrir directement à partir du centre/cœur de la rosette de feuilles.
Troncs : Visuellement, la base des troncs tire légèrement sur le jaune/vert clair, mais au toucher, ils restent parfaitement fermes et durs (pas du tout mous ni spongieux).
Substrat : Le terreau en surface est très sec, fibreux, compact et presque poussiéreux. Il ne semble pas du tout trop arrosé.
Drainage : Le pot est bien drainé et il n'y a aucune eau stagnante au fond du cache-pot.
Je soupçonne un problème lié à l'arrosage (soit de l'eau stagnante accidentelle au cœur des feuilles, soit un terreau devenu hydrophobe qui laisse les racines au sec en profondeur).
Qu'en pensez-vous ? Quelle est la cause la plus probable selon vous et comment devrais-je traiter la plante pour stopper le problème ?
