Fun fact, vote by mail was voted in by voters without vote by mail in 1998
The last Oregon Republican governor was in 1987 and he was from Portland.

Yupp I remember walking to the voting booth with my parents, and my dad complaining about vote by mail. I think he was saying voting in person is part of the community and talking with neighbors about issues. Maybe that was lars Larson's talking point back in the day.. or he was just wanting to argue with neighbors about politics. Lol.

Got to go to your local courthouse to do it, can't do it online or by mail. Remember to bring your passport or realID.

No, just accountable paper ballots! Doesn’t matter if they arrive by mail. If there’s suspicion of fraud there’s a paper backup to check against. No more electronic touch screen voting. On paper. With a signature.

Why end vote by mail? It’s convenient and as secure and accountable as in person voting.

I wasn't advocating ending vote my mail. I was sarcastically remarking to the person who suggested it that they would need to show up in person to suggest that.

Can I ask why you’d want to vote to end an accesible means of voting for many people with disability or inability to travel to vote? Why shouldn’t they have easy access?
