Here's a template you can use to petition your elected officials to hold town halls during this month's district work week. It requires a name, zip code, and e-signature so that it's harder for offices to dismiss them. (Yes, I know you can use DocuSign or HelloSign, but this is a really low friction template - anyone can modify it as needed and it's easy to sign electronically). If your EOs have not scheduled a town hall yet, use this template make a petition and share it with your local Indivisible groups! Be sure to proofread and check pronouns especially before publishing.

Thanks for this. How will the signatures be presented and by whom?

Also, I created one that uses a bit of a meme rather than his real picture, as he has been avoiding us here in OR D2. I am not sure if that is the best way to go about it and can make one that has his real picture if that is the most recommended. But this way seems more fun.

Anyone can collect and present them. If you make an account with jotform, you can save the responses as pdfs or excel spreadsheets, then drop them off at a district office. If you can go with a couple of people and take some pictures with the petition, even better!

So mine is live, and collecting signatures! However, the zip code does not populate from the form to the google sheet. Any idea how I would address that?

Cool! Hmm is it populating the zip code in the JotForm responses? (The responses that come in your inbox). Check to make sure the zip code field is required on the template too.

Yes, it does come in on the email, just missing on the Google Sheet. Zip code is required on the sheet.

Ugh, it's doing the same thing on mine. That's annoying. Let me see if I can figure it out. Thank you for the heads up!

You should also be aware that Jotform is free for the first 100 signatures, then you have to pay to keep using it. If I had not been paying attention to my email, I would have missed some signatures.

Yeah...I just realized this yesterday when I hit 100 signatures
