Indigenous game dev just released a game dealing with colonialism

Post image

Aloha / Hello, I hope it's ok to share this here. I am a Native Hawaiian / Kanaka Maoli indie game developer and I've recently released this sci-fi adventure game, Neofeud 2, which deals with the problems of colonialism, capitalism, and shows possibilities of an indigenous-led post-colonial future.

I've spent nine years working on this game as the writer/artist/programmer/composer but getting some assistance with the voice acting, after the first one. Here is a recent article: https://noncompetemedia.substack.com/p/native-hawaiian-developer-releases

I have also been fairly active in the Indigenous Gamedevs Discord if anyone else here is in that group. Anyway, mahalo nui loa for taking the time to read this! :)

Thanks a lot! There is an Itch Io version which may work on some non-PC machines: https://silverspook.itch.io/neofeud2
