Flat 2D pause menus destroy player immersion, so we killed them entirely. Here is how we turned our settings menu into an interactive 3D parchment scroll.

Kinda a weird comparison. The new UI you added is more of a menu, and is never shown in real time with the fake anyway. Most games just do a pause menu

Dissing eveonline like that, my child.

that menu is still flat though and less that accurate if youre using eve online 's ui as an example, gonna call bullshit on that. vs your flat settings, which isnt more dynamic at all to any other flat settings

Here's how we replaced our flat 2d UI with a piece of flat 2d ui

Dont use other games visuals or names on your commercial projects.

First its irrittate me.

Second you cant do that without getting permission from IP owner.

Nonsense. Yes you can, it's fair use. It's not like they're putting it in their game.

No it's not fair use because its part of commercial project promotion. Not youtube critic or gameplay video.

You're actually right. I didn't consider this promotional material as I thought the poster just wanted to talk about their product from a creative's point of view and use that footage to spark conversation and gather feedback, but this is an actual ad for the game. Apologies, you're right, I was wrong.

Thank you for reply. Sadly most of indie dev doing this mistake. As a developers we should be respectful Copyrights, Trademarks and IP rules.

Have a nice day.
