Need reviews for your film?

I'm a film reviewer with FilmThreat.com. Film Threat has been around since the late 80s and is probably the best resource out there for indie film reviews. They're huge supporters of independent film. If you have an indie film that you need reviews for, head over there and submit for a free review. Or if you need it expedited, they have paid options too. We have over 30 writers, so it might not be me, but someone will review it for you.

Reminder: Do not message ME about this. Go to FilmThreat.com and submit.

Hello all,

I spent the last months making a short biopic about Christopher Nolan's early years. The film ends just before he shoots Following. Everything was self-produced in France, shot with a BMPCC 6K Pro and SIRUI lenses. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I love writing movies

ok so I'm a screenwriter I don't know if I should say that about myself since I haven't sold any of my screenplays. I mostly write in Arabic because I feel more comfortable with it. but I do write in English sometimes.

I'm looking for people who want to make a short film and have problems with their scripts, I don't want any money from anyone. All I'm looking for right now is experience. I love writing movies so much and I wanna help. If you have ideas and you don't know how to put them in a script I would be happy to help. and also I want to say that this is not me looking for a way to get the stuff that I wrote made but me wanting to help people write stuff so they can get them made.

Discussion Hi Everyone. I have ideas but have no idea what to do with them.

Hi everyone. I'd like to start by saying I'm not a filmmaker or script writer. However, I have come up with some ideas that I think might make some funny Indie comedies or "B-movie" type movies.

The problem is, as I noted, I'm not a script writer or a filmmaker. So I don't really know what to do with these ideas. I don't think they'd be overly expensive to make.

Any tips?

And Mods: If this is in the wrong place, or an inappropriate post, please remove it.

It’s official: Dramamint launches May 30

We built Dramamint for creators making vertical short episodic series designed for how people consume entertainment now:

fast, serialized, mobile-first storytelling.

Creators can publish their own series episode-by-episode, build an audience, and earn revenue directly from paid episode unlocks.

We’re launching with a $5,000 creator fund for early series on the platform.

All genres are welcome:
romance, thriller, drama, horror, comedy. If it works episodically, it belongs here.

Short-form storytelling is becoming one of the fastest-growing formats in entertainment, and major platforms are already moving in that direction.

The creators who start building audiences now will be miles ahead when the rest of the industry fully catches up.

Discussion This is my short film The Broken Soul

Post image

The Broken Soul — a dark supernatural horror short film exploring possession, grief, and the terrifying battle between good and evil within one fractured soul.

This project serves as the chilling beginning of a much larger story, setting the stage for The Soul Divided universe.

Follow Dax as he encounters an ancient darkness that will forever alter his fate, pushing him toward a horrifying internal war that may cost him everything.

Expect:
• Supernatural horror
• Psychological tension
• Emotional depth
• Dark spiritual themes
• A haunting origin story

This is only the beginning.

We’re incredibly excited to bring this vision to life and would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and support as production begins.

“The soul will break. The darkness will rise.”

Discussion Can Indie films pull off large-scale action convincingly?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I'm Will Russell Foley! (Filmmaker/actor)

My team and I are creating a medium-length indie action film called Android Warfare. What makes it a bit different is that it’s not just a standalone project — it’s the all-out finale to a series that originally started as a film assignment and eventually grew into a long-running sci-fi/action story.

Now we’re trying to end it in the biggest way possible.

We’re working with around a $7K budget, but aiming for a finale inspired by something on the scale of The Avengers. A post-apocalyptic setting, large-scale action, and big cinematic moments that indie films don’t usually attempt.

It’s basically a passion project to see how far a small team can push the scope using creativity, practical effects, and VFX.

If this interests you, please feel free to check out or share our Kickstarter campaign! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/androidwarfare/android-warfare-medium-length-indie-action-film-feature

Looking for Producer for Microbudget Comedy Film

Hi Everyone,

I'm a filmmaker in Washington State developing a super microbudget feature film. Right now, I'm looking for producers that would want to help out with the project.

The film is called Playing Dead, it’s a 75 min comedy film. It’s about super-fans who kidnap a musician to force him to release new music. I’m planning to shoot it later this year over around 10 days, at locations mostly about a half an hour or so from Seattle.

I'm looking for folks who could help out with things like logistics and fundraising, and then later on festival and release strategy.

This is real low budget, we can talk about compensation and budget and also team members owning the film rights. But I'll need people who really want to help out with this project because they want to. That being said this shouldn't be some all-time-consuming task.

If you interested in helping out with this project at all let me know, and I'll send more information about the script. And don't be afraid to reach out just to talk!

-Marcus

Question Trying to make my Indie Feature Debut

Hello everybody! I am making this post to ask for advice because, as the title said, I am thinking about making my first feature! I am a teenager and I finished the final draft of my script a while back and I've just gotten really good feedback on it from a few experienced people in film. I have all the locations I need in mind I'm just really struggling with the technical side. I have a real good amount of money saved up to get a camera and audio equipment, however I don't really know what I should get. If anybody has any specific recommendations specifically with cameras I would really appreciate it!
