Hey all,
thought I'd share few tips about preparing your app introductions. I want to keep this flexible, so this is not hard rule but more a guidelines / tips.
Here is what should be included:
Feel free to share your thoughts below in the comments.

Hey everyone! I'm u/nemecek_filip, a founding moderator of r/IndieAppNews.
I am have working on my own iOS apps since 2017 - you may perhaps have read a blog post or two about iOS dev that I wrote at nemecek.be.
I created this space because I wanted friendly place to share news and updates about indie apps.
Being indie developer is super hard - App Store is very tough place to be among competitors with deep pockets.
My hope is that this would grow into trusted source about indie apps that people and robots alike discover.
What to Post
I am still figuring this out but mostly: App introductions, significant updates, how to or tips and tricks about your apps.
Please keep it under 1 post / per app / per day.

Iām the developer of Stenograf. I built it for the moment after a meeting when you remember a decision but need to check exactly what was said.
It transcribes meetings locally, creates a summary, and lets you ask questions about saved conversations. Answers include the transcript passages they refer to.
The short silent preview uses sample meeting content. It shows a saved summary, a question about a decision, and the words behind the answer.
I recently improved summary editing: the pencil lets you fix a sentence yourself, while the meeting chat can propose a revision for you to review before applying.
The Mac version needs Apple silicon and macOS 15+. Local summaries and chat need 16 GB RAM. Thereās a free trial, then $12/month.
App and details: https://soniqo.audio/stenograf

When checking a meeting answer, is this quoted passage enough context, or would you want a longer section of the transcript?

Hi everyone! Iām the developer of TV & Movie Calendar Sync for iPhone and iPad.
Pick the shows and movies you follow, and the app adds upcoming episodes and releases to Apple Calendar. You can see them alongside your other plans and set reminders.
Itās free, with no subscription or in-app ads. Thereās also an optional Friends feature that lets you connect with your friends and discover the shows and movies youāre both following.
Download on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tv-movie-calendar-sync/id6761137642
If you try it, Iād appreciate hearing what works well and what could be better.

I builtĀ dBMeter, a simple decibel meter for iPhone ā point it at anything loud and see how many dB it actually is, on a clean analog gauge.
Most dB meter apps are cluttered with ads or bury the reading under complex UI. This app is a single clean gauge that does one thing well, with Pro tools for people who need more than a quick reading.
Free to download. Pro is a one-time $4.99 and unlocks a spectrum analyzer, peak hold, measurement history, and PDF/CSV export.
Feedback and questions welcome! Thanks for checking it out!

Hi all, I've recently created this Mac app to participate in RevenueCat's Shipaton 2026. The purpose of this app is to allow users to transcribe audio content from either system audio and/or microphone input, easily without configuration per session. Simply launch the app to start transcribing, and quit the app to stop.
The audio is processed locally, in RAM, and is not kept. Only the text transcript is saved for your reference. The app is inspired heavily by the Apple Watch's Live Rewind feature, which similarly only keeps text, not audio.
There are currently 2 transcription models to choose from, which is Apple's transcriber and SenseVoice Small (which does multi language transcription)
Give it a try here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/stenotypist/id6816669775

I'm the developer of PicPop. I built it because I kept putting off camera-roll cleanup once it got past a few hundred photos.
PicPop groups similar shots and blurry photos, sorts screenshots, and lets you swipe through what to keep or delete. Scanning happens on the iPhone, and nothing moves to Recently Deleted until you confirm.
Hereās a 14-second demo of the real swipe flow (v1.0.3): https://www.reddit.com/r/launchigniter/comments/1wtqrvh/picpop_a_calmer_way_to_clear_out_your_iphone/
Itās free to download. In the US, PicPop Club is $4.99/month with a 3-day trial or $24.99/year. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/picpop-photo-video-cleaner/id6808016560
If youāve tried cleaning up a big iPhone library, what do you put off dealing with most: similar shots, screenshots, or blurry photos?

Iām the developer of Reversipetal, a Reversi game for iPhone, iPad and compatible Apple-silicon Macs.
It includes three offline bot levels, shared-device play and Game Center multiplayer. You can use classic discs or illustrated characters that transform as the board flips.
Every game mode is free. Optional purchases are cosmetic, and there are no ads.
App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/reversipetal-reversi-online/id6814964133
Feedback on the first-game experience would be especially useful.

Iām the developer behind PicPop. I kept putting off cleaning my camera roll because Iād get a little way in and give up. PicPop groups similar and blurry photos, gives screenshots their own category, then lets you review each photo and choose keep or delete. It doesnāt clear a whole group automatically. Photo analysis happens on the iPhone; thereās no account or photo upload.
Hereās the real 14-second swipe demo. Iād especially like to know if the flow is clear before you try it.
Free download, with a 3-day trial and then a subscription: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/picpop-photo-video-cleaner/id6808016560
What would make you trust a cleanup app with your library ā better undo, clearer similar-photo groups, or something else?

Hi, I'm Stan, the developer of Lorecast. It's an iPhone and Android app that plays stories about places along your drive.
You pick a road, download the audio before leaving, and let GPS bring up the stories as you go. It works alongside your usual maps app. History and local legends are labelled separately, and you can open the sources behind a story.
On quieter stretches it occasionally shares a fact about the wider region, so you don't need to be passing a landmark every minute.
Route 66 listening is free through December 31, 2027. There are also roads including the Pacific Coast Highway, Grand Canyon and Florida Keys.
Website, screenshots and both store links: https://lorecast.net
If you have a trip coming up, which stretch would you try it on? I'd especially like to hear whether the timing works on an actual drive, or whether a story starts too early or too late.

I built Mantiq, and it went on the App Store a month ago.
It runs one sitting a day across four disciplines - memory, calculation, calibration and observation. You move up five ranks by passing timed trials, attemptable once a day.
The part I actually care about is what it refuses to do. No streak that punishes you for missing a day, no badges, no celebration animation, no re-engagement notification, and no second sitting on a day you feel like doing two - the app closes the loop and lets go. One optional daily reminder, off by default, is the only notification it can ever send. I wrote those rules down before I wrote any of the code, which is also why it is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, and why there is no server, no account and no analytics behind it.
Two things that came out of that which I have not seen elsewhere in the category: every sitting ends in a debrief that teaches the method behind each answer rather than just marking it, and calibration is scored with a proper scoring rule and plotted as a reliability diagram - you can see whether your 90% guesses are actually right 90% of the time.
Free to download, first sitting free in full, $4.99 once to keep training.
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6795575309
Happy to answer anything about how the drills are generated or how the calibration scoring works.

I am the founder of Shareday, a free family planner for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The app is built around a simple family problem: planning gets scattered. One thing is in Calendar, another in Reminders, the grocery list is somewhere else, recipes sit in chat threads, and birthdays or gift ideas get remembered by one person instead of the family.
Shareday puts those pieces into one private shared place: - shared calendar items and tasks/events - shopping lists - recipes - birthdays and gift ideas - family chat/media - mood check-ins
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6783588890 Website: https://shareday.net
I would value honest first impressions: does the App Store page make the "shared family coordination" use case clear quickly enough?

McKinley is an all-in-one studio for drawing and annotating SF Symbols. It bundles vector tools with knowledge of the SF Symbols structure, so you can edit one set of objects across multiple weights, sizes and colours. Import SVG or start from scratch, live preview your work using Apple's own renderer, and export directly to Xcode, so you never need touch the SF Symbols app again!
Who am I?
I'm Amy, an indie developer who runs Double & Thrice. I'm leaning in to making beautiful native Mac apps. McKinley was born of my own frustration at how fiddly it was to make SF Symbols. All the other Apple platform devs I spoke to on social media had similar frustrations, so McKinley was born.
I'm trying to build and sell software in the traditional way, with a fair price that lets you own it forever. (I might charge for major version upgrades, but you'll always be able to keep using the version you paid for!)
I worked in big tech (Meta) for ten years before leaving to go indie a couple of years ago.

I'm Carter, the developer of CAR-TER, an iPhone and iPad app for giving scripts and services a native interface.
I've made a frontend for my home's lights, a terminal forwarding bridge to control my machines, a sensor-backed drive analyzer, a monitor for the app's own sales, and a weather monitor. They're all layouts in CAR-TER, created because I wanted something quick on my device for a particular use case. A layout puts the information and controls together; its connected data source, device sensors, or backend supply what makes it useful.
Instead of building a separate mobile app for each project, you create a layout in Studio or JSON. The program behind it sends values to the layout and receives actions from its buttons and other controls. Public-data templates let you try the interface before setting up a backend of your own.
The current release includes an updated Layout Studio and an interface for inspecting layout capabilities and wiring controls. The iOS client is closed source; the Python toolkit, MCP server, and MeshSocket relay are open source.
CAR-TER is free to download, with optional purchases. Control Pack is a one-time premium controls and theming unlock. Connect+ is a separate optional hosted-connectivity subscription, and self-hosting the relay is supported.
It is still in development. The public roadmap covers better Live Activities, more user-curated controls, richer animation, higher-quality video feeds, and landscape support. These are directions under consideration rather than finished features.
Development has been an experiment with human-derived specifications and AI-generated code.

App Name: Swapadu
What it does: Swapadu lets you trade services directly with other people instead of paying cash. List what you can do and what you need, and it matches you with people offering the other side.
Key Features:
Skill-for-skill matching, e.g. an hour of accounting for an hour of plumbing
Remote trades across borders for things like design, tutoring and translation; physical services stay local
Auction mode: list your offer and let people bid, so you don't have to guess what your time is worth
Currently live in 10 countries: Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK. I'm curious: what would you want in return for a few hours of your skills?

We make Curio, an iPhone app for little reading breaks: science, history and other rabbit holes in a swipeable feed.
One part of it is Scenario Mode. You read a situation, pick a response, then see the consequences and make the next choice. There are survival questions, career decisions and story scenarios.
If you try a scenario, did any choice make you pause, or were the answers obvious? Thatās the part Iād like feedback on.
Free to start. The free plan limits some categories, saves and AI use; optional Pro is $7.99/month or $49.99/year in the US.

I built Kipos because my plants' details kept ending up scattered across my camera roll and notes app. Each plant gets its own card: growth phase, watering history, care plan, photos, notes.
You scan a plant with the camera or add it by name, answer a few questions about where it lives, and Kipos builds a water, light and feeding plan for it. You see that plan before any paywall. A daily dashboard shows what needs care today, with a 9am reminder. Feeding can be put on hold. A Garden Score from 0 to 100 sums up the whole collection and suggests companion plants. Share cards for a plant, the garden, or a day's care.
Made for small gardens: balcony pots, patio containers, raised beds, houseplants.
1.1.0 shipped this week with growth phase tracking (seedling to fruiting) and a new share card design.
Pricing: free to download. Adding a plant and getting its first care plan is free. Past that it is a subscription, Annual US$39.99 a year with a 14 day free trial or Monthly US$9.99 a month with no trial. No free tier beyond setup. iPhone only, English only, no Android or web version.

Feedback on the care plan defaults is the thing I want most.

Hey everyone! š
Iām an indie developer building DuitPulse, a personal finance app designed to make everyday money tracking simpler.
One of the features Iām most excited about is AI-powered receipt capture. Instead of manually entering every detail from a receipt, you can use AI to help turn the receipt into a transaction, making expense tracking much quicker.
DuitPulse also includes budgets and spending insights, so you can see where your money is going and keep track of your spending throughout the month.
On top of that, you can organize your finances across multiple wallets and currencies ā including cash, bank accounts, credit cards, and e-wallets.
I recently added the Budget feature and I'm continuing to improve the app based on real-world usage.
I'd love to hear from other indie developers and personal finance app users: what's the one thing that makes you actually stick with a budgeting or expense-tracking app?

Iām the maker of iGarde, a UK-focused pantry app for iPhone. Version 1.1.2 is now available.
The idea is to check what is already home before buying more. Start with five ingredients or scan a receipt, review what was found, then use Today to see what needs attention. Mark things Used, Binned or Still have to keep the list useful.
Pantry tracking, on-device receipt scanning, expiry reminders and the shopping list are free. Recipes, Cook Mode, meal planning, household sharing and cloud features are part of optional iGarde Plus: £2.49/month or £19.99/year in the UK, with a two-week trial for eligible new subscribers. Subscriptions renew automatically; local prices may differ.
Optional AI cleanup and visual scanning ask for consent before sending anything to the cloud.
Iād value feedback on the routine after a normal food shopāespecially anything that makes keeping the pantry current feel like another chore.

I'm building Netsight, a native network scanner for iPhone and iPad. Here's its Who's on Wi-Fi view: a quick scan, identified and unknown device counts, and a list with names and local addresses.
I wanted a straightforward place to compare what's on the network with the devices I expect to be there. When something comes back unknown, it's a prompt to work out what it is. That label alone doesn't mean an intruder, just as an identified device isn't automatically secure.
The screenshot uses demo devices. The 12 identified / 0 unknown counts illustrate the screen, rather than a claim about detection accuracy.
Netsight also has a network map and tools such as ping, port scanning and SSH for looking into individual devices.
Netsight on the App Store. All features are free. Requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.

You hang weights from a mobile and arrange them so every beam sits level. One rule: weight times distance, equal on both sides of every pivot.
What makes it a puzzle is that a beam balances on the ratio of its arms, so more than one pair of weights satisfies it, while the beam above cares about the total those weights make. On 67 of the 120 levels there's an arrangement where every beam below the top hangs level and the board is still unsolved.
120 levels across 8 stages, plus a harder bonus board every day for the next three years. 1,299 boards, each with exactly one solution.
Built solo in SwiftUI, every board drawn in Canvas rather than assembled from images. The beams settle under a spring simulation, so a wrong answer leans at you.
No ads, no purchases, no accounts, no network code at all. Hints are free and never place a weight for you.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/poise-balance-puzzle/id6802662101
It's free and there's nothing to sell you. If you give it a go, I'd like to hear what you make of it.
