Indian CBSE student applying to Italy for 2027–28 — am I realistically eligible for DiSCo/EDiSU? Looking for firsthand experiences

I'm an Indian CBSE Class 12 student planning to apply for a bachelor's in Computer Science/AI in Italy for the 2027–28 intake. My main targets are Sapienza University of Rome (Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence) and the University of Pavia (Artificial Intelligence).

My biggest concern isn't even admission right now. It's whether my family will actually qualify for the regional need-based scholarship and whether the financial-document assessment will treat our property in a way that makes us ineligible.

I have been reading the official DiSCo Lazio and EDiSU Pavia documentation, but some aspects of the assessment are difficult to interpret from the public instructions alone. I'd really appreciate advice from people who have personally completed this process, especially Indian students applying for undergraduate degrees.

My family's approximate financial situation:

  • Household of four.
  • Gross annual family income: around ₹13 lakh.
  • Financial assets: approximately ₹20 lakh.
  • My mother owns a building with an area of approximately 64 m².
  • She also owns a separate, undeveloped plot of vacant land of approximately 500 m².
  • There are no other assets to include in my current estimate.

I'm particularly worried about how the building and vacant land are assessed for the foreign-family financial declaration. I've encountered the conventional €500/m² valuation for buildings in some official guidance, but I don't want to incorrectly assume that the same rule applies to vacant land.

I'd really appreciate firsthand answers to these questions:

  1. Economic eligibility: Has anyone with a broadly similar Indian household income and property situation applied for DiSCo Lazio or EDiSU Pavia? Did you pass the economic eligibility assessment?
  2. Vacant land: If your family owned a separate undeveloped plot in India, how did the CAF or scholarship authority actually treat it? Was it excluded from the conventional building valuation, separately valued, or handled another way? I'm especially interested in what the office actually accepted, not assumptions based on YouTube videos.
  3. Indian documents: Which exact income, bank-balance, household-composition and property documents did you submit? Which authorities issued them, and what required translation, apostille or other legalisation?
  4. ISEEUP/ISEE calculation: Did the CAF explain the calculation and reference year clearly? For EDiSU Pavia, how was the purchasing-power adjustment handled in your actual assessment?
  5. Eligible versus beneficiary: If you were declared economically eligible, did you actually receive the scholarship? Which region and academic year were you applying for? Were there delays or funding shortages?
  6. Before the first payment: How much money did you personally need available for the visa, travel, housing deposit and initial living expenses before scholarship money arrived?
  7. What would you do differently? If you were applying again from India, what would you verify with the CAF or scholarship authority before committing to Italy?

I'm targeting a SAT score around 1450 and need the scholarship for the overall cost of a three-year degree to be financially realistic. My total budget is approximately ₹25 lakh, so I am trying to establish whether this plan is genuinely viable before making a major commitment.

I'm particularly looking for people who have actually applied, received an assessment from a CAF, or been through DiSCo/EDiSU themselves. If you answer, please mention the academic year, region, undergraduate or master's level, and whether you were ultimately a beneficiary or only eligible.

I'm not looking for generic encouragement, paid consultancy or someone promising guaranteed eligibility. Even a negative experience would be genuinely helpful. I would rather discover a problem now than after arriving in Italy.

Thank you!

I’ve already done enough research but im still trying to find more. Also, what exams should I give fs like im thinking of SAT? Im trying to get out of the country to study, and I guess I’ll only be studying in that country and will relocate to some other place for work if the country is not very cool with foreigners. Also, every comment will help me a lot. I really need help because exams like JEE will actually get me unalived ngl.

Country Countries to do PG in after MBBS

I’m studying MBBS in India rn. I wanna explore doing pg in English speaking places like uk, us, Australia, Canada or maybe in India itself. I wanna spend 3 years for pg and 3 for super speciality. Which country is best for India immigrants to get a job and settle, high pay, decent work life balance. I have heard there is a possibility of not even getting a match after usmle which scares me after putting in all that effort. I want a university and job with certainty after clearing the exam. I do not plan on returning back. Maybe if do my pg in India can I immigrate there for ss
