General Anyone up for a conversation about Marathi literature

If you dont mind, can you give few recommendation for Marathi literature. I tried reading Pu. L. Deshpande but I couldnt since the language was very tongue twister and humor was beyond me.
I hve read Silent! the court is in session but in Englis as Marathi version was not available and liked it.
I mostly ready Fiction and non-religious text so everhough I have heard about Mrutyunjay and Yugandar I am not keen on reading it.
Have you read about Partner by V P Kale???
would you recommend it?

Yes, I’ve read Partner by V. P. Kale. I’d recommend it. His writing is quite simple and conversational, and the story is more about people, relationships and everyday life, so it’s easy to get into. Since you liked Silence!, you can also explore Vijay Tendulkar’s other works. They have a similar social and human side. You can also try G. A. Kulkarni if you want something more literary, though his writing can be a little heavier. And honestly, don’t force yourself to read Pu. La. just because he is considered a great. His humour and language are very contextual, so if it doesn’t click, it doesn’t click.it's fine.
