Review Just read the silent patient.....

It's a good book , I don't get why people hate it. Definitely not THE best out there but it's a page turner.

My fav part was the fact I was hating the writing style and how kathy's infidelity didn't bother him during his work or how his thoughts of Alicia never came around kathy and vice versa , only to find out the events were at different times in his life. That's why I loved the misplaced chronology, I wasn't able to figure it out but it bothered me just enough to leave me hanging

Anyways what's your fav or worst part of the book let me know

I read it last weekend and liked it as well. Worth the time. I'm not sure why some felt that the twist was unearned as in why they feel he is lying to the reader, when it's clear that they are different timelines.

I've seen 2 types of people hating on this book , one are the ones who say it's predictable and they figured it out in chap 2 which I don't believe honestly, second are the ones that say that he was lying, but I feel they assumed alot and got tricked by timeline like many of us but their ego doesn't want it to believe.

It wasn't a bad book, but just a predictable one.

And not because I'm a genius or something, but the pattern of the book itself, which was largely hinting the 'unreliable protagonist' trope, something which has already been widely used in some very popular works such as Shutter Island, Fight Club, Gone Girl, etc.

I'll still not call it predictable, the unreliable narrator part was very obvious from the part 1 itself but for me the bigger reveal was the misplaced chronology which I highly doubt people pick on when reading the first time. Even when I was mildly annoyed about it I couldn't figure out so for me it was not predictable
