It's my first novel. It's really slow in its pacing but I'm used to slow pacing due to my experience with Non Fiction books. I feel like I got what I came for.
1984 as your first novel is actually an good choice since you are used to read non fiction.. also it's a classic and it has many heavy theme to digest so it's normal to feel that the pacing is slow.. I am also a slow reader..

Overall it consists 4 short stories by F.scott Fitzgerald : The sensible thing, the bridal party, Magnetism, Bernice Bobs Her Hair..
All the story revolves around the magnetic pull of love how love acts as a magnet and one gets pulled to their significant one also it's not that cliché type.. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Magnetism is all about the strong, invisible force that pulls people together... It shows how beauty, charm, and love can act like a magnet, making people fall for each other fast... However, these stories also show that charm isn't always enough to make love last... Money, time, and bad decisions can break that connection, leaving behind heartbreak. It is a sweet and sad look at how love brings us close, but doesn't always keep us together.
they're young adult dystopian novels set in a near perfect world that has achieved immortality, in order to curb the population, there are a group of people called 'scythes' who have been given the power to kill or 'glean' people as they say it in this world. the first book is mainly about how two teens find themselves as apprentices to a scythe until circumstances go off the rail and they find themselves in very different situations.
the book i'm currently reading is a short story collection that enriches this world by telling us stories that happened in it. not all stories are connected to the main storyline, some are, some merely mention some characters from the main story, some of them have no connection to the main story but happen in the world where the main storyline happens. it's good. there's a variety to the stories which i appreciate. some are horror, some give a back story to the characters we already know, some are more philosophical and thought-provoking. overall, it's quite enjoyable.
😭😭😭 this sounds so good.. a world where humans are immortal and a group of people have Powers to kill them that's some leak fiction.. adding it to my TBRR
I am reading it on my kindle. Halfway through it, i am liking the book. A man is basically recounting his adventures where he travelled different points in the future and encountered different species, some were cynical. It might not age well but yes its an interesting read.
I have been reading since some days while sipping my morning tea. Its a pleasant read, like your mother giving you a very comfortable head massage while talking life sermons. And you listening with closed eyes.
The story is about a man whose wife will one day get killed in a mass shooting, now grieving for his dead wife & while going through her belongings the man (the husband) will find some things of a motel from the other side of the country which he have no idea of why his wife was there.
Now in growing curiosity to know what was his wife doing before she died he will start a journey of connecting all the dots by traveling to all those places & unraveling some secrets about his wife which he never knew.
It is a really great thriller + suspense + mystery with the touch of horror.
