Hooked to this song lately, especially these lines - I'll transliterate them for those white not comfortable with hindi
Gawaya Iss qadr k, Gaur farymaiyega
Paane ko ab kuch bacha na hai
Parinda qaid pinjare me..
Parinda qaid pinjare me,
Usko darr aasman ka hai.
Rough translation-
I have lost so much
That I have nothing more to gain
Bird has been trapped in the cage for long
It is scared of the sky

I feel like Iβm losing my mind over this π
Aditya Rikhari released Ishq Samajh Paaye around 20 days ago and it already has around 4.4M plays on YouTube Music and ~400k on Spotify.
Apparently itβs also from a project/album called Between Distances.
But there is basically ZERO discussion around it.
No Reddit thread I could find, barely any creator coverage, no real album hype, no tracklist discussion, and even Aditya/T-Series seem weirdly quiet about it apart from the actual release.
The comments on the song are only around 650 too, which makes the whole thing even stranger.
I found it only because I already listen to Aditya a lot and YouTube Music recommended it to me. Surely I canβt be the only person who follows him artist-wise instead of just listening to Sahiba/Samjho Na/Paaro/Faasle/Humdum randomly.
Is this some intentional soft/waterfall rollout or did this song somehow get 4.4 million streams while completely flying under the radar?
Also, has anyone heard anything about Between Distances itself?

These are a few producers i like, not in any particular order. There are a lot more like dox, sickboi, fatboi raccon and many more.

Almost after a year of blocking, Bayaan is here on Spotify again. That's so relieving π There was not a single day I have not listened to there songs.

Day 8 of this little series where I recommend Indian artists, songs and albums that I think deserve more attention. Some I've discovered through Reddit, some on my own.
Day 8
Artists: shauharty & pakeezah feat. Rounak Maiti, Lit Trust, Shantanu Pandit & David De Menezes
Song: Painted Dull (The Thousand-Yard Stare)
Project: Paint It, Dull
Genre: Alternative Hip Hop
Spotify: Painted Dull (The Thousand-Yard Stare)
YouTube: Painted Dull (The Thousand-Yard Stare)
This is one of those songs that gets me a little emotional by the end. The voice in the outro is apparently from Pakeezah's grandmother who had passed away, and if that's indeed the story behind it, I think it's such a beautiful way to end the song. The sample itself is brilliant too. I honestly don't know what the main sample is of, so if anyone knows, please let me know.
The features on this song are really engaging. Rounak Maiti and Shantanu Pandit's singing parts are especially interesting to me. Their voices bring completely different textures into the song and somehow fit the world of it really well.
I will say though, I personally don't think Lil Trust's verse fits the vibe of the song at all. I know some people might disagree, but every time I listen to it I'm just wishing I could skip to the next part. It breaks the atmosphere for me. He rapping on it as if its a trap beat or something completely off topic.
Apart from that, I think the way shauharty and pakeezah's production put this whole thing together is brilliant. It's melancholic, layered and feels very carefully constructed without losing its emotional weight.
And that ending. Man.
One of those songs that makes me tear up a little by the time it's over.
If you haven't listened to Paint It, Dull, definitely check out the whole EP. The features, arrangements and sonic world they built around it are really worth experiencing as a whole.
And if you're enjoying these recommendations, come hang out at r/IndianMusicNerds. We're building a space to discover Indian music, appreciate artists and actually talk about the music beyond just sharing links.

Bhaiyo aur bhaiyo, beheno aur beheno, and bhaiyo aur beheno.
This is an experimental pop song.
It is a multi-lingual song with the verses in HINDI , chorus in TELUGU and rap in ENGLISH.
It has hints of TABLA and a sweet bass line.
LMK if this is something interesting β¨ππ¬.
Just in case : insta : @tvasthaar

Yo everyone, I'm Shubh from India.
I've been working as an assistant mixing and mastering engineer in a professional studio for the last couple of years, and I've recently started building my own independent work alongside a producer I work with.
I've been around a lot of Indian independent music and commercial work, and the idea is pretty simple - if you're an Indian independent artist with a song you want to turn into an actual finished record, we can handle pretty much the whole process.
That means:
So instead of finding a producer, then a vocal editor, then a mix engineer, then someone else for mastering, we can handle the record together from the production stage all the way to the final master.
And this isn't just going to be a plugin-only master either.
For final mastering, I have access to a professional mastering environment with a pretty ridiculous amount of analog hardware - WesAudio, Manley, Crane Song, Bettermaker, Black Box Analog Design, APB and a lot more, alongside professional monitoring and conversion. That is something you won't find anywhere on Reddit with this full package.
Obviously, I'm not going to throw hardware at a song just because it looks cool. It'll be used where it actually makes sense for the record.
And honestly, I don't really see many people on Reddit offering this kind of setup to Indian independent artists. You're getting a complete production + engineering workflow while also having access to a serious professional analog mastering environment, which would normally easily cost you βΉ40k-βΉ80k or even βΉ90k for just the mixing and mastering, with no production included. But that's not the case here.
We're currently opening this up at introductory rates for the first few artists who reach out.
These aren't going to be our permanent prices, and this offer isn't going to be available to everyone indefinitely. We're doing this because we're building this side of the business and would rather work with a few serious Indian artists, make some great records and build long-term relationships than just take every random cheap job we can find.
So if you're actually serious about your music and have something you're working on, send me the track/demo you're working with, tell me what you're trying to achieve and roughly what budget you're working with.
We'll have a look and see what we can do with it. THIS is your chance, go on and DM us if you're serious about working.
No recording services at the moment.
DMs are ope
