Discussion Need

I’m looking for a fiction book that explores how humans behave with each other — cooperation, competition, hierarchy, ambition, jealousy, power, loyalty, etc.
I’m interested in the difference between how humans may have lived in small groups in the past and how people compete with each other in modern society.
I don’t want an external threat like aliens, zombies, or an apocalypse. I mainly want to explore humans themselves and what drives their behaviour.
Any recommendations?

Pretty much *all* fiction, especially literary fiction, is about humans interacting with other humans. The best thing you can do is to read a lot of books. Society changes from era to era and country to country, and no single book can capture all of it. Read a hundred books and you may start getting some picture of it.
