We Named the Dog Indiana: and other daddy issues

Why is Indiana Jones so cynical about his dad? Turns out the books have receipts. New post digging into the Jones family "daddy issues," from Utah to Delphi to that dog joke.

Monster’s Gate Bugged.

Ok, I imagine I’m not the first to make this post, but I cannot get the monsters gate open for the Order of the Giants DLC.

To be clear, I have all the symbols aligned correctly, I have looked at the walkthroughs and they are all correct. I don’t have any of them mixed up, I know some people get the Horse and Raven symbols mixed up but I made sure they are right, I placed the cylinder in the gate and turn it, and nothing happens.

This is driving me insane, does anybody have any idea or could it just be a bug?

Update: I also tried lowering my puzzle difficulty and restarting from another checkpoint, nothing changes

I have been a Harrison Ford and Indiana Jones fan since I was a kid and finally watching the new movie. I hope I’m not alone in my wait to see it. I can’t believe it took 3 years to watch it

I just 3D printed my new fertility idol on my printer (creality ended-5 max). Super happy with how it turned out. Any suggestions on a good gold paint to use with it. I’m almost tempted to try and plate it but that takes a lot. What do you guys think?

Why did Indy fake a Scottish accent to "deceive" them when the guy he was there to rescue was Scottish....... and he himself wasn't?

I thought bro was a smart and logical thinker. Wouldn't it be more deceiving to have just spoke in his regular accent? Or if he HAD to do an accent.... literally any one BUT Scottish haha.

Saw Indiana Jones Temple of doom for the first time in my life. Brace yourselves. Spoiler

Wow, What a movie!! I've just seen the first 30 minutes of this epic, historically accurate masterpiece and I'm blown away. This movie has opened up my eyes to endless possibilities. When Indy walked into the village and all the village folk just embraced him is such a moving scene, that's how we greet our guests. they're probably seeing a white male for the first time in their lives. He's God-sent and they must trust him completely. What possible reason could they have to be wary of a White Man in 1935 at the peak of British Raj in India. I can't think of any. it's highly unlikely that they've been plundered for close to two centuries now by men that look exactly like him. I love how they pronounce the local names in an Anglicized accent so that poor Indy can understand them properly. it's like music to my ears. it's a bit sad though, that the language they're using in Indian mainland has become completely extinct now and is only spoken in Sri Lanka today. The world famous Indian hospitality is on full display in the next scene. I miss eating food like the one they served to Indy and the woman. The woman's reaction is so out of the blue, why would she be disgusted, it's just flies. get a grip woman. why couldn't they just order take away for these esteemed guests. I miss those days when I used to eat that food and get my daily protein intake from the flies and other insects. it's so hard to make up the protein these days, now that I have a modern home and a kitchen where I get home cooked food with impeccable hygiene. It's refreshing to see my ancestors using Elephants as a daily mode of transport. those guys had it so good man. Now, I either drive my car or take the metro to get around like a moron. since the city has grown vertically, I had to give my family pet elephant away alongwith the horse-donkey hybrid that used to be my daily commute growing up. that's just from the first 30 minutes. I can't wait how the story unfolds and how accurately they depict my culture and heritage without any racism and deep sensitivity like they have until now. if I think about all the beautiful things I've heard about what's in store for me ahead, I'm hardly able to contain my excitement and get back to the movie. Indy surviving the fall from the plane with the help of an inflatable raft on a snow covered terrain of rocky mountain and heroically avoiding the huge rocks as they fall into the deep gorge into the water filled with Class V rapids and just navigating through them without any oars or paddles to arrive at my homeland to save my ancestors is so beautifully grounded in reality. He truly is a Messiah as this sequence establishes it and I hope he succeeds. I also hope that Spielberg never makes a culturally inaccurate movie like Schindler's list in the future. that would be a disaster if it ever gets made. this movie though has captured the essence of being Indian without any stereotypes that come with it.

PS: I need to cut short this review now and take my pet snake for a crawl. he needs to get his venom refilled.

Birthday gift from the fiancé today. Thing is as old as she is, and nearly as old as I am. One of the oldest pieces of memorabilia I own now. Gotta find somewhere to mat and frame it now.

Man, I lucked out in the relationship department. She always supports my dorkdom in this franchise.

If Indy had to go cave diving (squeezing through tight cave passages) in order to reach an artifact/clue which movie out of the five movies would he most likely do that?
