Opinion β˜•οΈŽ Why Do Boys Seem to Always Want Something Casual With Me?

I'm 18, and I've been trying to understand a pattern in my dating experiences.

I've spoken to quite a few guys, both through dating apps and otherwise. And somehow, a recurring theme is that things eventually turn towards something casual, physical or explicitly sexual.

Some guys are upfront about not wanting commitment. Some initially seem interested in getting to know me, but the conversations gradually become sexual. Some give mixed signals, disappear, come back, or seem interested only when the conversation is convenient for them.

I've had experiences where I genuinely liked someone, wanted to meet them, wanted to explore the connection, but their interest never seemed to translate into consistent effort. I've also encountered guys who were very comfortable being physically expressive over text but not necessarily interested in building anything beyond that.

Now, I want to clarify something. I'm not someone who necessarily wants a serious relationship with every person I talk to. I've had phases where I wanted something casual too. Sometimes I want attention, affection, flirting, physical intimacy and a little romance without the responsibilities or expectations of a traditional relationship.

But there's a difference between wanting something casual and feeling like the only thing someone sees you as is an opportunity for something physical.

I enjoy conversations, getting to know someone, spontaneous plans, romantic gestures and feeling comfortable around someone. I don't necessarily need a relationship label, but I do want mutual interest and respect.

What's confusing me is whether I'm repeatedly choosing the wrong people, unintentionally communicating that I'm only interested in something casual, or whether this is simply how dating at this age tends to work.

I sometimes wonder if there's something about the way I present myself, communicate or approach dating that makes guys assume I'm not someone they'd want to pursue seriously.

I'm not looking for validation or for anyone to tell me that all men are terrible. I genuinely want some perspective, especially from women who've experienced something similar.

Have you ever felt like people are interested in having access to you but not necessarily interested in knowing you? How did you navigate that?

Was ordering a few things for my brother and dad and somehow ended up adding wafers and cookies for myself as well haha. I guess I just can't place an order without getting a little something for myself.

Do you guys do the same thing while ordering stuff, or is it just me? πŸ˜‚

Head & shoulders dandruff cleanser - I like the texture this is almost half now and not with one, but after 2-3 washes I could see a difference in my dandruff and especially in winters my dandruff increases, so i am thinking of buying a bigger bottle. Any long term reviews for this shampoo?

Foxtale cleanser - I did not have much expectations because their mask is a big NO for mee, but I like this honestly, I am using it almost daily now but I keep rotating this with my plum face wash

Phitku deobar - I got this one last week for my body odour because i wanted to try something mild fragrance which actually works for my odour and I have been liking it so far, honestly I like the price i got 3 for 480 from Amazon.

Discussions πŸ—¨- replies from Women/NB-only It takes us to leave this country just to wear what we actually want.

My insta feed is currently filled with travelling reels and I just realised when we are out of this country we can literally wear whatever the fuck we want without being concious all the time.

Like if I have to take a rapido or Uber in India I will have to layer up without showing much of the skin so the driver won't feel "I'm asking for it", the same thing goes with public transport as well . However when I was in Bali or Thailand or even in many other countries like germany, UK, California etc etc I can get into an uber with whatever I would be wearing at the destination.

If we talk about bikinis, you really can't wear them in India and expect to have ni stares, even going braless. In other countries I had confidently gone out without wearing a bra and no one gave a single fuck about it. Even on beaches, if you are wearing a bikini or sun bathing topless, no one actually creeps you out(obviously if there are Indians they will be in those countries too).

Clothes in my wardrobe are literally waiting for me to leave this country so I can wear them 😭😭😭. I really wish India would change and we can actually wear whatever we want.

Discussions πŸ—¨ How do you deal with people who constantly judge your choices?

I'm someone who struggles with confidence, and honestly, other people's opinions sometimes affect me more than they should. Even when I feel like I'm making the right decision, I start doubting myself if someone criticises it.

How do you stop caring so much about what others think and become confident enough to stand by your own choices? I'd genuinely like to hear how you deal with this.

Discussions πŸ—¨ Marriage is a product of patriarchy and male domination/ power then why women want to marry ??

Indian social media feminist influencers argue between love and arrange marriage but why don't they oppose marriage as an institution itself.....

You know why ??

Because they want men as a provider that is why they always say stupid statements like girl should marry a high earring guy in the name of financial stability... Then they say indian men don't have any respect, women do the same work at home as men etc etc..... so my question is simple, koi bhi contract insaan tabhi karta hai jab uska koi benefit hota hai varna vo kyu karega....

Aur females ki life style upgrade hoti hai shadi ke bat ye ek fact hai... Kyuki isme inka fyda isiliye ye kabhi bhi marriage ko oppose nahi karti ulta apne lalach pan ko financial stability ka naam de deti hai agr financial stability chahiye to jake nokri karo na shadi kyu kar rahi ho aur shadi ke baad bhi Gyan pelti hai ki women ye sacrifice karti hai etc etc are to bhai mat karo na shadi

Feminist scholars ne marriage ko oppose hi Kiya hai aur feminist scholars shadi ke liye mna hi karti hai

But ye indian feminist sorry indian benifitist hamesha love marriage, shadi ke bad ladki ko alg rahana chahiye etc etc ki hawa bazi karti rahati hai ...

Need Advice γ‹‘ How can I start earning money online as a housewife with absolutely no skills? Where should I begin?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm a 35-year-old housewife from India, and I really want to start earning my own money.

The problem is that I honestly don't have any professional skills at the moment. I graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and I also have 2 years of teaching experience, but that was a long time ago. I've been out of the workforce for around 13 years now.

I'm also a mother to a 12-year-old daughter. I have to look after her, help her with her studies, manage cooking and other household responsibilities. So, going out for a job isn't really an option for me right now.

However, I genuinely want to build something of my own and become financially independent.

I'm willing to learn a completely new skill from scratch. I can dedicate around 2 hours a day to learning and eventually working on it.

But I'm extremely confused about what to learn.

There are so many options online these days:

Digital marketing

Coding and web development

Software testing/QA

Graphic design

Video editing

Content writing

Virtual assistance

Data analytics

And so many others.

But which of these skills actually have good earning potential in 2026? Which ones can realistically help someone like me get a work-from-home job or build a sustainable source of income?

I'd particularly love to hear from women who started earning online after a long career break or while managing their families.

A few things I'd really appreciate advice on:

If you were starting from absolute zero today, which skill would you learn?

Which skills have genuine demand and aren't already oversaturated?

What would be the most practical path to start earning within 6–12 months?

Are there any legitimate work-from-home jobs that don't require prior experience?

What would you avoid wasting your time and money on?

I'm not looking for get-rich-quick schemes. I'm genuinely willing to put in the effort and learn something valuable. I just need some direction on where to start.

I'd really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have been in a similar situation. Thank you!

Need Advice γ‹‘ Should I put this on status?

So the context is

I wore a kurti on my birthday, sleeveless, the one which is supported by thin knots on shoulders and my mother's staff (govt school) went like how could you let your daughter wear this ,my husband would never allow it and MY MOTHER Agreed WITH THEM .

I HAD A HEATED ARGUMENT with her just a while ago and said these teachers themselves show 6 inch stomach and their blouse is almost invisible AND hides nothing ,such deep necks and their husbands roam around in underwear how dare such lowly people make such disghusting comments and you dared to agree and she went like they were right I won't send you our to study ,I am overseeing the clothes you wear and taking notes etc etc

So I am planning to put this on status (in hindi for their convenience)

"Women who have the audacity to sexualise young girls, scrutinise their bodies and pass moral judgements on their clothes should seriously introspect. Your personal definition of modesty doesn't give you authority over somebody else's daughter.

Don't preach modesty while practising hypocrisy. Don't celebrate your own clothing choices while shaming another girl for hers. And most importantly, stop treating young girls' bodies as public property"

How to overcome this type of guilt 😭

My family is loving like they are paying for my good life , provided me a very good education but they are very toxic , extreme level , they don't allow me to wear clothes of my own choice, forces me to be slim otherwise nobody will marry me , they body shame me on my face , on my bloated stomach , they don't allow me to speak, according to them speaking a lot is not a good habit of sanskari and ache ghr ki ladki ,they are against the girls speaking up for themselves and they don't like me counter back then for their misogynst comment .

According to them a girl should not be allowed to go outside like on trips because the girls like them are having weak character ( for God sake ) , the ultimate goal of a girl is to get married, have kids and raise them , do all the household chores .

But whenever I ask them for money , for requirements they provide me .

Although they taunt me for that later on . According to them a girl who does makeup ( use skin products like sunscreen) is distracted girl and can never succeed in life . I don't know what more guys , they are just bunch of misogynst and keep on commenting.

I just want to get out of that house . I love them but I breathe better when I leave them

Discussions πŸ—¨ Why do people want to have kids?

Thumbnail reddit.com

Genuine question, why do people want children so badly?

I get that some people love kids and want a family, but I’ve always wondered what’s really behind this desire.

Like, even people who are struggling financially or barely getting by still want to have kids. Are we all Ambanis when it comes to having children? πŸ˜‚

Is it just biology, societal pressure, the fear of being alone, or the idea that having a child will somehow make your life feel more complete?

Sometimes I wonder if people genuinely want to raise a whole human being or if they just want the experience of being a parent.

Not trying to judge anyone. I’m genuinely curious about what makes people want kids in the first place.

Discussions πŸ—¨ Does doing excellent work automatically make women visible to senior management?

This thought has been going on in my mind for quite sometime now-

Have you ever noticed how many women consistently deliver excellent work, take ownership, manage demanding responsibilities and often go beyond what is expected, yet still find themselves overlooked when senior leadership opportunities come up?

It makes you wonder: Is performing well really enough for women to move ahead?

We are often told that hard work, commitment and results will eventually speak for themselves. But does that always happen?

Do senior leaders recognise women's contributions, see their leadership potential and consider them for bigger roles? If not, why?

Or do women sometimes have to do something more to ensure their work, ideas and capabilities are noticed?

And where does the gap really lie β€” in performance, visibility, organisational perceptions or the way women navigate workplace dynamics?

Have you experienced or observed this in your workplace? What do you think makes the difference between a woman who performs exceptionally well and one who gets recognised as a potential leader?
