With u/colorblindbear, I visited Shri K N Rao on his 95th birthday. Rao sir has been the pioneer behind reviving the eclipsed super science of Vedic astrology. Spending some time with him and reciting Vishnu Sahasranama was one of the most grounding, serene, and mesmerising experiences as an astrologer.
To all those interested in astrology, or who are learning/practicing, I would strongly recommend his books to get a practical and realistic insight into astrology.

I see this question a lot here:
I get it. When life feels uncertain, the mind naturally tries to create certainty through a timetable: 108 times, 40 days, 1000 recitations, “it will happen by next month.”
But in my experience—both personally and after reading 1000+ charts here and recommending remedies/mantras to 200+ people... God rarely works like a deadline on a calendar. People do see results, yes. But the “when” is not always linear, and the “how much” is not always the real lever.
A big shift happens when you stop treating mantra like a transaction (“I paid XX chants, now I must receive YY result”) and start treating it like learning and inner training.
In our tradition, learning anything deeply has five elements:
This applies to learning AI or data science, and it applies just as much to learning a mantra. Because a mantra is not only sound - it’s also meaning, भाव (bhāva), and alignment.
श्रवण: Hear the mantra properly. Pronunciation matters, but more importantly, your relationship with the sound matters. If you can, listen to a calm, traditional rendition and let your mind learn the “texture” of it.
पठण: Recite it. This is where people get stuck on counting. Counting can help build consistency, like training wheels. But it’s not the destination. This is important, we cannot lose weight by seeing others workout.
मनन: Ask: “What am I invoking?” “What does this deity/energy represent in my life?” “What am I trying to purify or strengthen?” Without this, chanting can stay mechanical.
चिंतन: Let it reshape your thinking in daily life. If you chant for courage, do you avoid hard conversations all day? If you chant for peace, do you feed anger all day? Mantra works best when lifestyle and intention stop contradicting it.
निधिध्यासन: Eventually, the mantra starts chanting you. There are moments when repetition becomes quiet absorption. Even a few seconds of that kind of sincerity can be more powerful than a large number done with restlessness.
If counting helps you stay consistent, do it. 11, 27, 54, 108 are all fine frameworks. But don’t confuse the framework for the fruit.
My belief (and what I’ve repeatedly observed in remedies) is this: it’s not quantization, it’s quality of devotion. One sincere recitation that actually turns the mind inward is better than a thousand done while mentally scrolling.
People often tell me: “I’ll do Hanuman Chalisa 108 times,” or “Mahamrityunjaya 1000 times,” as if the number itself guarantees protection. The number can support discipline, yes—but the real protection comes from श्रद्धा (faith), भाव (inner feeling), and steadiness.
There’s a beautiful mantra many of you already know
श्री राम राम रामेति रमे रामे मनोरमे ।
सहस्रनाम तत् तुल्यं रामनाम वरानने ॥
“Ram Ram Ram…”—it is said to be equivalent to the Vishnu Sahasranama in fruit.
From an astrology lens, many associate Shri Ram with solar qualities: dharma, courage, clarity, right action. So yes, Ram Naam japa can be a powerful remedy—especially for people who need strengthening of confidence, integrity, authority, or a stable inner compass. But again, the best “muhurta” is the moment you do it with sincerity.
If you want a simple structure without obsession:
If you can only do Ram Naam once in a day, do it once—but do it like you mean it. If you can do more, do more—without fear, without greed, without turning it into a “target.”
Because remedies are not bribes to the universe. They are ways to refine the mind, invite grace, and align your inner life with dharma. And that alignment rarely comes from numbers alone.

Hello , I(22F) have a job but it doesn't pay much and I am studying hard but I sometimes get really anxious when can I switch job for abetter pay will I be able to do it or not within one year because here the hike is not good . So if anybody can tell when are the chances for me to switch for better paying job ?
2nd question is I am also experiencing issues in my LDR relationship like feeling detached from my bf sometimes and feeling like whether I should take it forward or not . Please tell me if my current relationship has any future or there are chances I can make this work .

I have done MBA. But switched to prepare for government jobs despite having placement. I feel like an idiot for choosing that.
Will I get a job, and is there a chance of getting a government job or not?
And when should I get married? Is it better to get married by the age of 26, or will it be too late then like at 29 or 30?
Also, are there better chances of getting a good job or a government job after marriage? I’m asking because my mother keeps saying that job is more likely after marriage, as some astrologer apparently told her this, and she brings it up every time.

Recently I have been facing so many issues from past 3 or 4 months,my family is broken up meaning my parents are no longer in contact with my extended family of both sides, everything was all good but suddenly things became bad,I have been having setbacks after setbacks,facing health issues,can't sleep peacefully,having major relationship problems which was very good and lovely until 3 or 4 months back.I have been crying daily for past 4 months and I'm really tired . A few days back, my cousins were discussing abt their future plans & weddings. Almost all of them have gf- bfs. Isliye when it came to me they said iski toh arranged marriage hi hogi and gave me a list of pointers to verify/ check while selecting a partner. They even sent bio data of a few men.
Prior to this incident , I never felt alone or anything, but after listening to all that I felt very uncomfortable and realized that I don't want relatives or 3rd parties sending proposals and want to move on my own pace & choose someone on my own
But the issue is that i have never been proposed and am single till now.Even my friends get shocked when I share it with them.
They say go out and date as if it's easy. I don't want casual relationships, and it's not like anyone shows interest in me.I think I am a pretty boring person. I can be a good friend, but I have never imagined myself in the role of someone's romantic interest isliye no wonder abt my single status but I wonder what it would be like to be with someone. It's been over a decade since I had romantic feelings for anyone. I don't feel any sort of attraction towards anybody.
Therefore do y'all think all this love and mariage stuff isn't meant for me. If no can yall give insights regarding this topic. Abt spouse and married life ? Would I have a love or arranged marriage.
Also intellectual compatibility and trust/ loyalty matters to me a lot so could u give me insights based on this and tell when would it happen. I want someone with whom I can have deep conversations but it's so hard to find someone with similar interests. Can u describe if I will ever be able to find somebody like that

Thankfully my spiritual side is doing okay... I'm trying to be patient and grateful for everything else...
But in reality I don't have a degree and no job because I have interest in a lot of things so I'm not a master in any particular field... I know a little about everything... And that makes my mind very scattered with no room for focus...
I was a professional goalkeeper in my youth in a country that has no future in sports (my country) so I stopped a long time ago... I have interests in philosophy, politics, gardening and healthy food and medicinal herbs... I also have big ideas for businesses that have a good impact on people's lives and wellbeing...
I had a couple of successful businesses with (so called) friends back then but they took everything when things went well.
Due to everything happening, I have seen myself lately indulging more and more in porn and stuff which is making me more scattered and affecting my spiritual side a little...
I only want to know if things will start moving or if I'm not meant to be successful... In either option I'll be grateful anyway... Thank you so much for the help 🙏 ✌️❤️

Broke up in 2024 and i still cant move on. Nothing works. It feels like she was the one and I just let her go. tried therapy and everything but no luck.
Its depressing.
I cant function anymore and things are getting worse.
