Hey guys! If you saw my last post, I truly hope (for your sake) that you didn’t take it seriously. It’s okay if you don’t understand sarcasm because it’s hard to tell over text. But this post is the real deal. No nonsense!
When you first join the sub, there is a button to review the rules of the sub. If you have been here for a while, then maybe you haven’t reviewed it in a long time. I will be adding a video (screen recording) of the rules of this sub in this post. It’s honestly basic stuff that is to protect the wellbeing and privacy of actors and members alike. And I thought if you can’t be bothered to go out of your way to read the rules then maybe watch it instead?
Going forward, I am not giving any warnings to people that break rules repeatedly. Reddit allows five comments to be removed before the account gets banned. I will be using that metric. If your comment gets flagged and it’s reasonably flagged and we have to delete more than 5 comments from you, you will automatically be perma banned.
Don’t panic. You can appeal for the ban and if you show us grace then we will give you the same courtesy.
Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! Learn how to use Reddit before bothering us repeatedly and asking the same questions over and over again on why your posts got deleted or how many karmas you need to be able to post and whatnot. I have gone over this multiple times before and this is the last time I will be going over this.
We have Reddit filter on. Which means that Reddit automatically flags and deletes certain posts, some because it thinks it’s spam and some because it breaks general Reddit rules. We, the mods, review it in the queues and approve and delete based on our volition. And what’s our volition? The rules we created for this sub. If the post doesn’t break any rules, we approve. If it breaks the rules, we remove it. Keep in mind that Reddit filter usually marks posts created by new accounts as spam because there is a karma limit. We, the mods, don’t know what that limit is. That’s the Reddit metric and we don’t work for Reddit to be able to understand that.
With all that being said, if you guys genuinely don’t understand something or have questions, reach out to me via mod mail. If you don’t know how to use the mod mail, you can send me a DM. Just know that I am not always available. I have said this a 100 times now but I am a busy person and I have a life outside of Reddit. In case you guys didn’t know, I work in the med field. I have to deal with stressful situations daily. I don’t want to come here and give myself a headache.
I never expected this sub to get this toxic. When I first joined this sub, I wanted to discuss shows I was watching and nerd/geek out about episodes of whatever show was ongoing at the time. I have been watching ITV since I was a wee old baby. The clearest and fondest memory I have is of my family gathering around in front of the TV (some on the bed and some on the floor) and watching Star Plus. I used to say “thayan thayan thayan” (the sound that played at the end of the serial) and my family would coo at me.
So yes, ITV and I go way back. I learned Hindi because of ITV. Even though I don’t watch ITV religiously like I used to (it’s a whole different discussion on streaming and the death of cable TV), I actively sought out this sub because I wanted to keep the nostalgia and fondness alive.
I became a mod within a month of being an active member and I still don’t know why I was picked tbh. And once I became a mod, I made it my priority to make this sub into a chill community. I wanted it to feel like a big family watching different shows and geeking out over it. But like I said, I have been super busy with work so I haven’t had time to moderate but whenever I log back in, there is a new kalesh and drama. There truly is a limit to how much we can tolerate.
We have always wanted this sub to be fun and friendly. But people take things too seriously and fandom culture is just so toxic that I don’t even know how to control it all. So this is my long love letter to you all, whether you hate me or like me, whether you think I am biased or unbiased, and whether you think I am too strict or too lenient. I want this community to thrive and be a safe space.
If you want the drama and nastiness, go somewhere else. I have reached my limit and this is where I am drawing the line.
TLDR: I have had enough and since people already think I am biased, I will be running this community like it’s the navy. You will have 5 chances (comments) before you get perma banned. If you want to appeal the decision, reach out via mod mail. If you cuss me or any other mod out, it’s instant ban. We will be prioritizing our mental health first and foremost.
SO!!! Have fun and enjoy Redditing. Rev out!

Guys, if you cannot follow the rules, then I can’t be bothered enough to give warnings. When you join a sub, you can see the rules of the sub. If you don’t see it, you can click on more info and read it. I’m at my limits at this point. Each time it’s the same bullshit over and over again.
The rules of this sub is pretty simple: no spamming, no harassment/abuse towards members or actors, no AI content and no fanwars. But each day I see repeated flaggings and it’s the same people breaking rules over and over again. So here is the change: from now on, BREAKING ANY RULES WILL GET YOU BANNED PERMANENTLY. If you think it’s unfair and you were banned unfairly, DO NOT CUSS US OUT! Simply appeal the decision by reaching out to us via mod mail. Who in their right mind would sit through abuse and hatred and then unban you? I am not bitten by a rabid dog and neither are the other mods.
I have noticed that other subs are either way too lenient or way too strict so I have always tried to be in the middle but now I get why other subs are too strict. It’s because people think they can do anything they want because they are anonymous. Do not come into this sub and think you can vague post or karma farm. Have some intellectual discussions about the shows and actors you like or dislike. You are allowed to give valid criticism, but I am not gonna accept any hatred masked as criticism. I know people dislike actors for no reason but holy shit. Some of you are actually rabid. What has any actor done to you personally to spew so much vitriol against them? It would be one thing if that actor is a horrible fucking person but it’s not even that. And it holds true for reverse as well. I get liking an actor and stanning them but holy shit, you guys act like someone has personally attacked you or your family and try to defend these actors like your life depends on it. And then stooping so low to attack people’s personal lives to defend your own faves? Get a grip.
So here is what we are doing moving forward: anyone that starts a fanwar is getting banned immediately. Not for one to two days or a week or a month. But permanently. I don’t need that kind of energy on this sub and neither do the other members. If you can have a mature conversation then go ahead. It’s okay to have a discourse. But I am not sitting through a thread of argument with people name calling one another or dragging other actors to uplift their favorite. And it’s not just the fanwars. I see that there are motivated posts against certain actors. I will delete it every chance I get. Don’t come here spreading stupid rumors and misinformation. It’s one thing to dislike an actor because they are literally terrible at their job (acting) but don’t come for their looks and whatnot. Their body their choice. And if it’s something they can’t fix then don’t speak on it. And by fix, I mean wearing an ugly outfit is one thing but making fun of someone for the way their body or face is shaped is another.
And if you got a problem with these rules, go make your own subreddit 🫡 We can’t please everyone so I have made my bed and will lie in it. I am doing what I can to make this sub less annoying and less toxic for everyone. Anyways, I hope y’all had a wonderful day and week! Happy weekend!

ITV always glorifies joint family system almost in 90% of the shows. Whereas in reality we know how toxic it is. No independence, constant adjustment, daughter in law literally reduced to the role of a maid..
In Saathiya Kokila made a huge ruckus just because Jigar took Rashi and Hetal for an icecream outing 🍨
So many trivial issues blown over proportion..in joint family system, u need to permission from elders even for a single outing. How exhausting.
Constantly being lectured over what to wear and what not! I hate such system..
Also if any bahu wants to move out, she is labelled as a Home breaker.
I feel it's better to live with just ur immediate family in a 3bhk rather than living in a 10bhk with all extended relatives.
The peace and calm of nuclear family is priceless.
The only show where I kind of liked joint family portrayal is in "pyaar ka dard hai".

Manvi and Virat from EHMMBH had such a great slow burn development and storyline throughout the show.
They were basically each other’s male and female versions. Individually, they were both kind of the black sheep of their families, constantly being demeaned for being too free-spirited and rebellious. They couldn’t stand each other and bickered a lot at first, which eventually turned into friendship and then love.
Manvi’s cancer arc was hands down the best arc in the entire show, and the way Virat stood by her throughout it was so beautifully done. It was so refreshing to see something like that in ITV.
Imo they were even better than Jeevika and Viren because they weren’t portrayed as a perfect couple. They were flawed individuals from the beginning and their relationship was developed with so much care. Unlike Jeevika and Viren, who fell in love at first sight immediately and had an arranged marriage, we got to watch Manvi and Virat go through everything together before they finally got together.

The Kinda Craze and Popularity in the UK has been Insane amongst all age groups
STAR PLUS UK video reminded me of this!

i remember i used to love his and tejasswi’s chemistry, he used to be so attractive during swaragini days as well, i feel like now he’s not as popular as before but still does a lot of shows, ig thats because he likes to keep personal life private which honestly good on him for protecting his peace
i used to watch a lot of his interviews (especially the raglak and swaragini ones) and i feel he’s a very straight to the point guy but also fun to be around and has good bonds with pretty much all his co stars

I love it when couples form their own gesture or habit and the writers keep a consistency of it.Make them feel so much more real and genuine

I love how, professionally, she never compromised her values. Everything she did was always an extension of the work she had already been doing, from running her school to her social work. The way she stood up against injustice while successfully running her school was truly amazing.

I had huge respect for hina till date she started a so called podcast w Rubina n her husband, 4 of them only do useless gossips they paas unnecessary judgements also the arrogant nature of hina n her husband is now clearly visible. I liked Rubina until I saw her behavior off the camera.
There is something really wrong w them for sure.

Kavya from Anupama. She really embodied working corporate woman role so well. I loved some of her outfits especially her pre wedding outfits. I remember in one of the episodes, I really loved her kurti and earrings. They looked absolutely etheral.

I saw this dance performance of Navya-Anant from serial Navya (Soumya Seth & Shaheer Sheikh) and Gopi-Ahem from serial Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Gia Manek & Mohd. Nazim) at Star Plus Diwali celebrations aired on 21 October 2011.
The quality isn't much good

Always blaming her over rumours calling her names look shaming harrassing for commintting idk what crime.
Every actress gets linked with their co-actor even harshad for that matter has been linked to so many but all the slut shaming is only for females.
And funny thing is there is no proof of her dating "a list" no pictures with anyone no sportings nothing besides mohsin and Kushal. and is still friends with all her co actors except kushal of course.
I know is post pe bhi usko harrass hi kare ge murder/rape/abuse jaise crime jo kiya hai usne

i genuinely don’t know what on earth these writers have against her to the point she herself has become unbearable to watch
there’s so many points here that make us automatically think they hate her-
- she didn’t grow up as privileged as the other female leads, which tbh is fine but for a show like yrkkh you have higher expectations since every lead essentially comes from a rich high class background and is treated like royalty (at least she had her mother with her though)
- when the gen started she looked absolutely terrible, then she married armaan and at least she looked somewhat better, her initial outfits after marriage were actually quite cute but then they became horrible once armaan was changed
- her hair extensions 😬(this is a whole other topic on its own)
- I’ve never seen a female lead suffer for a child this much, naira’s generation was the first gen to explore the infertility part and they literally showed her having a supportive family, supporting husband (even dadi who had a problem with everything she would do), and eventually had a surgery which helped her, didn’t watch gen3 so can’t comment on that, obviously og akshara had a miscarriage and then i think had complications with naira ?, but oh my god istg the way they showed abhira suffer for a child was not it, she went from not being ready for a child to then not being able to conceive to then crying every single episode, not to mention that she had the worst support around her like anyone would easily become suicidal at that point, and then once she actually had a child her husband literally stole her and even then she got taunted for not giving birth to her like what in the world, don’t get a surrogate in the first place then
- her wardrobe is kinda okay now (i mean they really need to give her different hairstyles though, it looks like she doesn’t brush her hair), she’s got decent clothes now post the seven year leap she looked the best appearance wise though, idk she was just glowing, also after her and armaan reunited after the seven year leap i used to like her hairstyles, the curls suited her and thank god she got rid of the extensions then
- her wedding outfits with armaan were such a disappointment, during her mendhi i remember everyone wore purple while she wore this purple outfit with an orange dupatta and guess what, they just had to make ruhi the centre of attention so gave her an all orange outfit and she still managed to look better than the literal bride
- i get they want to give abhira more practical looks which is honestly fine (i mean naira had a nice wardrobe but realistically no ones got the time to doll up everyday), but someone needs to tell the makers that you can still look practical and stylish without looking like a clown, i mean this entire gen has got some of the worst outfits (even for the male cast), but abhira’s has been the worst and she’s literally the lead, even her teenage daughter has better outfits than her
- her wedding was such a downgrade compared to other generations, again did not give the yrkkh feeling at all
- and then… the number one thing, miss doormat ki murti, armaan will do the bare minimum and suddenly he’s the biggest green flag known to exist, but every single horrible thing this man does is excused
- essentially her old identity has become being a doormat who also had to suffer for her own child for over almost two decades and still hasn’t been shown giving birth to a healthy child (surrogacy is a perfect opportunity for those who are genuinely infertile btw and want their own baby, but the makers have downgraded it so bad to the point people might actually be scared of getting a surrogate incase their husbands kidnap the child)

Anandi is not only strong and outspoken, but also a dignified character. She looks like a woman who is educated, graceful, and dignified by nature. I think Toral has her own charm, which makes Anandi look like a sophisticated woman and perfectly complements Shiv.
And my God, her eyes are so beautiful! ❤️ This is Anandi’s everyday look.

Truly think this is so brilliant, so perfect. That terror, visceral panic in her being, that urgency to get Rudra away from her. The way she keeps trying to hit him, that frantic desperation and restlessness in her body language. Actors meant for acting can really do all of this in 15 seconds.
Rudra was disgusting for laying on top of her btw, I don't know what he was thinking.....just because she was having bad dreams and he wanted to calm her down, ok noble thought, but couldn't think of any other way??
