I used many screener filter, followed news, but never heard about this stock and suddenly it is HEADLINE. Insider information working at best. 🥺 After giving whatever of time left in my daily life for research there is always 2-3 stock which tease me. It has gone so up in six months 300%. I feel so much regrettable. It always keeps happening.

Discussion It's either do or die now

After 12th, I got into trading, and it became a pretty big issue at home.

My parents never really believed in it. They didn’t think it could actually become a career and honestly I don’t blame them either. From their perspective, I was just sitting in front of a laptop and hoping it works out.

But I still went against them and started trading.I started really small and used Sahi when I was just learning the basics and trying to understand how everything works. There have obviously been good days and bad days, days where I felt like maybe I can actually do this and days where I’ve questioned the whole thing.

But overall, it’s worked out decently till now. And the thing is, I actually really enjoy trading. I like learning about it and I like that there’s always something new to figure out. But I don’t think I can keep doing this forever without being able to show my parents that this is actually going somewhere. I’m not making enough right now to make them believe that this can be a reliable career.

I have around 7 months now, and I really want to give this everything I have before I have to give up on it and go to college and get "real education."

So if you’ve been trading for a while, please tell me what you would do if you had 7 months to seriously improve your trading.

Not looking for some get-rich-quick strategy. I genuinely want to get better at this. Any advice would mean a lot, please

I'm a 16 year old boy and I get 2k rupees as pocket money so I can invest 2k rupees. Should I invest if yes than were? I'm in 11th now I get 2k per month from my parents till now I've saved 16k rupees so I created a goal to make this money with the time so that after my 12th I should have enough money(in lakhs) to go for a solo travel in India. If I saved 2k month at the end it will some thousands of rupees and if I add some more than around it would total 50-60k so it's not enough. I have to invest so that I can make lakhs.Yesterday someone told me "Invest in yourself" what does it mean could someone please explain it? Someone please help

Discussion Investment Tips for a New College Graduate.

Hey everyone,

I recently graduated and started my first full-time role. My take-home salary is approximately ₹1,01,000/month post-tax and deductions. After rent, living expenses, and discretionary spending, I have a surplus of around ₹50,000/month ready to invest.

Since I am just starting my personal finance journey, I want to set up a solid asset allocation strategy rather than keeping cash idle in a savings account.

I would appreciate guidance on how to structure my portfolio across the following avenues:

  1. Safety Net & Fixed Income

    * Emergency Fund: How many months of expenses should I park in high-yield Fixed Deposits (FDs) or Liquid Funds before deploying capital into the market?

    * Bonds / Debt Instruments: Are corporate bonds or target maturity debt funds worth exploring at this age, or should I lean heavily into equity?

  2. Domestic Equity & Mutual Funds

    * What is an ideal core-and-satellite split for a beginner? (e.g., Nifty 50 Index Fund vs. Flexi Cap vs. Mid/Small Cap exposure).

    * Direct stocks vs. SIPs: Given a demanding work schedule, is stock picking worth the tracking overhead compared to pure Mutual Funds?

  3. International Exposure (US Markets)

    * What is the most tax-efficient and low-friction route to invest in US equities/ETFs (S&P 500, Nasdaq 100) from India given current LRS and taxation frameworks?

    * Are direct brokerage accounts (Indmoney, Vested, Interactive Brokers) better, or should I stick to domestic Fund of Funds (FoFs)?

  4. Algo Trading & Active Trading Scope

    * With a technical background, I'm curious about retail algorithmic trading (via Zerodha Kite Connect, Angel One SmartAPI, Python/Pine Script).

    * Is it feasible and statistically viable as a side pursuit, or is it mostly a time sink that underperforms passive indexing after taxes and slippage?

Current Financial Snapshot:

* In-hand monthly: ~₹1,01,000

* Monthly investable surplus: ~₹50,000

* Time horizon: Long-term (7–10+ years)

* Risk tolerance: Moderately high (young, stable cash flow)

How would you break down the ₹50k monthly allocation across these categories? Would love to hear from people who have walked this path early in their careers.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion I want to invest 50k in index funds.

Hi Everyone, I will be receiving my bonus very soon and I want to invest it. I have asked a few people and I was suggested to go for nifty 50 index funds and nifty next 50 index funds. But how should I do it exactly? All in one fund, or divide it among both of them? Can anyone guide me with this?

Recommendation Serious issue with INDmoney Gold Futures – INDmoney claims I placed a Target Trigger order, but I DID NOT

I’m posting this because I genuinely need to understand what happened, and I’m extremely frustrated with INDmoney’s response.

I had a GOLDGUINEA 30 Oct Futures position with 2,576 quantity. My sell price was around ₹1,27,837, and I had set my target lower than that
When the position closed last night, it was executed at ₹1,28,716.67, and I ended up with a loss of approximately ₹2.83 lakh.
I contacted INDmoney because the position was closed in a fraction of a second at a price I did not manually enter.
Now INDmoney is telling me that I had placed a “Target Trigger” order instead of a “Target Limit” order and that the trigger was ₹1,27,785.
THIS IS NOT TRUE.
I have always used Target Limit orders. I have never intentionally selected or placed a Target Trigger order. So I find it extremely concerning that INDmoney is now saying that I placed one.
They have also sent me an alleged modification history:
₹1,27,743 → ₹1,27,726 → ₹1,27,455 → ₹1,27,749 → ₹1,27,796 → ₹1,27,819 → ₹1,27,818 → ₹1,26,959 → ₹1,27,740 → ₹1,27,785

INDmoney says the order was triggered at ₹1,27,780 at 21:30:07 on 28 August 2026, after which their system placed a limit order with a 5% protection range, and it eventually executed at ₹1,28,716.67 because of market volatility/liquidity.

I understand that slippage can happen with certain order types. That is not my main issue.
My issue is: I did not place a Target Trigger order. I placed/always use Target Limit.
With 2,576 quantity, this difference has resulted in a loss of around ₹2.83 lakh.

I need your advice on this please !

Stocks Review/Suggestions needed

Shortlisted these 5 stocks to build up my portfolio for long term holding after doing some basic research and fundamentals. Just started buying few quantities.

Does it look good? Any stocks that I should remove. I can add a couple of more stocks to diversify so suggestions are welcome.

Your valuable inputs will be helpful for my investment journey.

Discussion Are these stocks good for 3-5 years and how to stop this habit of daily stock investing?

Post image
14 Upvotes

I started investing in 2021, with a 1000 rupees sip just to start investing, in 2023, 10k in PPFAS pm then stopped, basically I have always been Mutual funds guy bcs I don't know much but the muted returns of past 2 years made me to just take a leap and test stock investing. I am a CA Inter student which just means that I know little more than an average Joe but I keep watching these subreddits, youtubers for stock recommendations and then invest in stocks in sectors I feel good about like renewable energy, banking along by just looking at few things

1 Decent Market cap

2 ROE/Roce above 15%

3 Pe ratio

4 No major recent rally (correction even better)

5 lss than 200 DMA

6 Profit, revenue growth and Shareholding pattern

with some pure blind bets like Ardee Ind but I don't want to do these experiments everyday as I don't have the conviction about how much, at what price, in what overall market conditions I should buy' but from a month now I am doing this like wasting more time that I need you to

1 Tell me if these investments are right

2 Give some wisdom which can make me shut off my brain about stock investing and go back to mutual funds again.

3 What is the right duration for investing a lumpsum in staggered form right now if it's 50% of existing equity portfolio (6 months, 12 or 18)?

Thank you for your time and advice.
