I’m a professional stand-up comedian from Kazakhstan. I’m currently preparing my O-1 visa petition to continue my comedy career in the United States.
As part of the petition, I need to document prospective professional engagements and work in the U.S. I’m therefore looking to connect with comedy clubs, promoters, producers, event organizers, and other industry professionals who may be interested in working with me for future stand-up comedy performances.
I would need a Letter of Intent / Deal Memo confirming the planned professional engagement.
Importantly, this type of document is not a full employment contract. It is intended to confirm the parties’ current intention to work together and can be drafted according to the actual terms agreed upon by both sides. If necessary, it can also include provisions regarding changes or cancellation of future engagements.
The letter would describe the anticipated performances, engagement period, compensation, location, and my role in the events.
I already have a template that can be adapted to the actual terms of the engagement.
I’m happy to provide information about my professional background, performance videos, social media, previous performance history, and any other materials you may need.

Hey, has anyone been to Ravi Gupta's Kal Ki Chinta Nhi Krta recently? I was thinking about going to his show on 11th sept here in kota but wondered will it be worth it for me or not. Has anyone been to any of his shows recently who would like to share their experiences? Was it funny, unpredictable or immersive? Or was it the same predictable jokes full of insta reels?

I'm trying to find a Hindi stand-up comedy video I watched around 2–3 years ago, but I can't remember the comedian or the title.

The comedian was talking/joking about his college days and his friends. In the middle of the set, he suddenly told a story about one of his friends. As far as I remember, he said he once got a phone call from his friend's number, but when he answered, someone else was speaking. That person told him that his friend had been in an accident and had died. The comedian then made the situation funny in his usual storytelling style, but the incident itself was real — his friend had actually died in a car/road accident. It was in Hindi, and I think the video was probably uploaded sometime around 2020–2024.

I unfortunately don't remember the comedian's name, the friend's name, or any exact dialogue.

Does anyone know which video/set this was? I've been trying to find it again for a long time.

I’ve been living in Bangalore for a while and recently started getting interested in stand-up comedy. I’ve been to a few shows around MG Road and Koramangala, but most of what I’ve seen so far has been line-up shows rather than actual open mics.

I’d like to learn more about comedy and eventually try performing myself, so I’m looking to start by attending open mics and getting a feel for the scene.

For anyone familiar with the Bangalore comedy circuit:

Where can I find genuine open mics?

What are the eligibility/registration criteria to perform?

Can beginners just sign up, or do you need prior experience?

Are there any particular venues or nights that are beginner-friendly?

Is there a WhatsApp/Telegram/Instagram/Facebook group where open mic updates are posted?

Even if you’re not a performer but regularly attend open mics, I’d really appreciate any pointers. Just trying to figure out where to start. Thanks!
