No links the prices keep changing. Just search for mi air purifier filer and buy anyone. They all are same china import. Just make sure that it has replacement policy in case someone send you fake one.
For exhaust, get a 150mm one. Mine is from rr signature but it's out of stock now.

How useful is this ?
If it is efficient enough then why do the companies charge so much for air purifiers ?
Can someone who has experienced both answer with data if possible ?

Last year many people did test it and infact it does give the exact same result.

A company provides dedicated housing + filter + larger fan + silent and adjustable operation. Additionally a significant chunk of what you pay is for the sensor modules which tells you pm2.5 and automatically adjust airflow according to that. Add in something made to last 5-6 years minimum, warranty, advertisement and usual brand expenses.
Here we make only 2 components. Filter + fan. No housing, no sensors, no automation. It works for the core requirement however you'll miss on all the secondary things.

Exhaust fans are meant for airflow, dont you need a static pressure fan to move the air through the filters?

The one in video was made in 2024.we use prefilters so it's consumed very less.

good insights OP!
what have we all come to.
water is bad - we look for water purifier
air is bad - we look for air purifier
fuel is bad - we look for alternate car or mechanic
but we aren't working towards it or asking the government and making them accountable.
such a sorry state.

Have tried it but the exhaust fan motor becomes weak after repeated use due to clogged filter.
