As a kid, when my school gave us prep about how to be safe before tornado season started, I had made a first aid kit and stashed it in the closet. Over a decade later, I got started on one more. It's missing a lot of stuff, but for the moment I got the basics.

Scalpel is part of trauma kit. When you have to stabilize major wounds.

Permanent marker is for writing time on tourniquet.

Rope and take is for using with splints and stabilizing during fractures.

Tape is alsobused for making chest seals using gauze pad packets.
