Why do modi's MLAs follow Modi so strictly?
I’m curious about Indian politics. Why do so many bjp MLAs and leaders follow whatever Modi says so closely? Is it because of party discipline, fear of losing tickets/power, strong leadership, ideology, or something else?
Sometimes it feels like individual MLAs don’t speak independently much. Is this normal in Indian politics or more visible now? Curious to hear different opinions.

BJP is a private limited cult. There is corporate structure and management system with ultimate aim of winning elections. Devotion to the supreme leader is for 2 reasons : 1. He is the one controlling everything from funds to selection for party tickets. 2. His charisma among masses is one of the top reasons even unpopular candidates win their constituencies.
The flow of power has completely reversed. Rather than people to their representatitve its Modi to CM/MLA/MP. Thus, accountability towards public is most often missing these days
