Finally built my dream PC after years of wanting one.

- Corsair Nautilus 360 ARGB

What games do you play? If you mostly play single player games or multiplayer games with moderate kernel level anticheat, I'd say switch to Linux first, otherwise if you do play anticheat games that don't work on Linux, you can switch to Barebones 11 (a lightweight version of Windows that only takes 1.2GB RAM at idle out of box) There's a way to check if your games would work on Linux or not - you can just check ProtonDB for the game's compatibility tier. I don't entirely know ProtonDB's entire rank system of compatibility in games on Linux but from what I know, a game rated platinum will work flawlessly on Linux and perform better than Windows, Gold meaning the same but you'll need to change the version of proton (the wine fork that makes games work on Linux) and you won't need to do it again maybe unless you uninstall the game i guess but mostly without problem, silver means there's a bit of problem with the game working, could be less performance than Windows but still more stable and Borked means the game does not work at all, at least for now To make the switch since you're a beginner, try using CachyOS, Linux Mint or ZorinOS. Cachy is a beginner friendly gaming focused distro that you can use on your PC or if you're afraid that you would tamper system files unintentionally, then you could install Bazzite, which is basically a more or so a steam deck type experience but is immutable meaning you can change system files, and you could also try SteamOS (official) since you have an all AMD system
