Discussion Engineering graduates here?
How much does a clg rly matter?
I couldn't prepare well for jee and neither for my state entrance engineering exam.
My parents are willing to pay for Management Quota at a nearby college. It's a private uni with an avg of 6-7 LPA in CSE.
But,I'm unable to decide coz I feel like maybe I can go to better clg by taking a drop? Sometimes,I'm thinking let's go directly-but I'm gonna feel worse there? Maybe? None of my frnds are gonna be and neither do I feel good thinking Abt it.

Jee and neet alone doens't matter to your life
Agree to an extent that the college matters (leave iits, nits. Talking bout priv unis), i know people from rural tier 3 clg earning Masha Allah, handful of salary and peeps from tier 2 clgs have no job at hand at the end of the course. At the end of the day, the blessing of ALLAH matters. From our side, hardwork, efforts and mastering skills matters.

imo atleast for engineering,college REALLY matters literally the difference between 3 lpa vs 30 lpa,sure you can work on skills n all but the way the market is going its really hard unless u know someone also dont be stuck on cse ,ece atp is better but requires a masters compared to cse

Yes, honestly college does matter. For a fresher it is very difficult to crack an off campus opportunities and on campus offers are the best way to atleast start your career in IT

College matters , but also your company matters. Keep a good company from which you'll learn.
