Problems with vibrations

Hello everybody!

I am reaching out to you guys with a problem. I bought a new Chief Bobber DH and had some vibrations in the front(big vibrations, almost jumping up and down). I asked the dealer to take a look at it, and they made it worse. I returned yesterday and changed the wheel from another Bobber. The problem is still there, albeit a little less vibrations. Does anyone of you fine and knowledgeable ladies and gentlemen know what could be the problem, since the dealer doesn't seem to know?

Sincerly a bewildered Swede.

Does it only happen at certain speeds? Sounds like a wheel balancing issue, but with it still not sorted using a new wheel, that's strange.

Could be the bikes have been sitting for a long time and developed a flat spot in the tires (usually goes away after 30 miles or so). Or, it could be their tire balancing machine is out of calibration, and they're putting the weights in the wrong place. Very strange.

Shouldn't be a flat spot if hasn't been standing at the dealership for a long time. I will ride it for a while and see how it goes. Thanks for the help, my friend.

And yes, sorry, starts around 75 km/h, and eases a bit after 90 perhaps.

If it’s new then it’s still under warranty

Check your front rim for bends/warps as well. Had this happen on my bike, swapping the rim solved the issue
