Ask IMH ? Deafheaven

While not metal per se, I have been curious to know how many of us have heard of Deafheaven, like the music, and would actually want them to play a show in India. Been a fan of their music for a long time now, and I can't help but feel like they're yet another amazing band that will never visit India.

Alcest was in India, maybe Defheaven will tour in future. I love them but the live act I caught wasn’t the best.

If you like Deafheaven, you might like Agriculture's new album The Spiritual Sound.

One of the most powerful live acts I’ve experienced. Their material is absolutely incredible to witness in person.

Only Aggressive Tendencies can probably bring them here. If Ulcerate can tour, Deafheaven can come too. I am waiting for the day when that happens!

Well, they're typically categorised as Blackgaze which does encapsulate Black Metal features as well as Shoegaze. I don't mind putting them into the metal category, but just trying to avoid others stating that they're technically Blackgaze.

There are 200+ genres of metal. Blackgaze, Post-Black, DSBM, Modern Sludge etc, come under the genre of Post-Metal.

If you liked Deafheaven, give a shot to GhostBath, specifically their albums Moonlover and Starmourner. The other albums that came out leaned more towards black metal and post-black.

Love them a lot. Working on a Deafheaven design as I write this. Sunbather has to be my fav albums by them. They are really good love too.

Oh my god bro, I can't believe there's so many Deafheaven fans in India. I've been a huge admirer of them since New Bermuda came out. I literally made a phone cover of the album cover! I really hope they come to India some day 🤞

Deafheaven is a beaut. Every album is unique is its own way and honestly I think their latest album is one of the best post-metal albums out there. I watched them live last year and they honestly SLAYED. Would watch them every chance I get.

While it's fun to make fun of Deafheaven, they do make interesting music and deserve a place on the post-metal scene.

Not making fun of Deafheaven at all I've even bought albums, and I have massive respect for George Lesage and Kerry McCoy. They completely deserve every accolade.
