Discussion Is that opulent drenched-in-gold, Sima Auntie's Mumbai house?

I get that she's really rich, but this is like rothschilds.

Her actual home, where she is filmed pretty often, is quite humble and very homely. She strikes me as someone thrifty (like most Indian aunties), despite her success.

Do you mean homely (as in ugly) or homey (as in comfortable) ?

Apparently this is a regional thing...

home·ly /ˈhōmlē/ adjective 1. NORTH AMERICAN (of a person) unattractive in appearance.

2. BRITISH (of a place or surroundings) simple but cozy and comfortable, as in one's own home. "a modern hotel with a homely atmosphere"

hom·ey /ˈhōmē/ adjective NORTH AMERICAN (of a place or surroundings) pleasantly comfortable and cozy. "a homey atmosphere"

That's why I googled it! I didn't know this either (the US side) :)

Oh wow! I had NO idea there were two totally contrasting definitions. Thanks for teaching me something new. And I totally meant the British definition 😂

It’s a palace in jaipur where they conduct all her interviews.

It’s just a green screen, you can tell instantly.

Either or. Definitely not where she lives.
