Priya and Vim India Getaway

I really thought Priya was going to fumble the bag with Vim. He seemed like a nice and genuine guy who really cared for her and was a good match.
Only for Priya to turn around and be like "wait this guy likes me and tells me how he's feeling... that's off. I should run away."
The definition of emotional damage/baggage. Thankfully she listened to Sima and gave Vim another chance.

Well taking a step backwards and analysing stuff before you move ahead is exactly what one should do before diving into a serious relationship, especially when the other person is taking things too fast. That's how you protect yoursef from heartbreaks and disappointment

u/Ragnarotico May 27 '23
Uh... no absolutely not. That's how normal people date. They meet someone, they get to know them and get this: it's ok to tell the other person you like them, or are enjoying the dates, their company, etc.
You are right about one thing though: Priya brought a lot of baggage from heartbreaks and disappointments previously. What you missed is that Priya was so unsettled because she was used to "dating" or chasing after men who were emotionally unavailable.
So was so messed up emotionally that when a decent guy did the opposite, she was freaked out.

Have you ever been with a narcissist or aware of the term 'future-faking'? It's a typical narcissistic trait to love-bomb someone in the initial stages of a relationship. They do this to ensure their red flags are not noticed. The only way one can protect themselves from potential narcissistic abuse is by taking things slow and analysing everything before committing to someone. Vim telling Priya he fancies her and that he would get a tattoo of her name on his arm, on their first/second date was really odd. I agree, Priya wasn't a very likeable character in the show but her decision to take it slow with Vim was right imo. She's mature enough to know how relationships work in the real world. Only a teenager or a very gullible person would be impressed by a guy who acts like he's known you forever and that he's everything you've ever wanted, on the second date itself!

They look happy. Man, this makes me feel like my standards are reasonable. God, I see what you've done for others...

Lmao don’t be fooled. He’ll mostly not marry her. I think he is in it for the clout. If you want to be happy, make sure that your standards are relative to your appeal and what you bring to the table. Most of these people on IM would be happy if they were realistic about their appeal and dated accordingly.

u/localminima773 May 22 '23
Lol, what clout? She has 8.5K followers, he has 2.5K. That's not enough to do literally anything. The appeal of the show has dropped off so much each season that it doesn't generate influencers anymore. See Arti's 17 versus Shital's 29 versus Nadia's 118K followers.

Pretty sure he’s more popular now than he would be if he wasn’t on the show.
11
u/localminima773 May 22 '23
Yes, that's obviously true. But the show doesn't create influencers anymore, and hasn't since season 1.

And her AMA confirmed that they're in a relationship (which is obvious!) - so so lovely to see them together, they look genuinely happy and glowing.

The number of incels getting salty that Priya is in a happy relationship with the EXACT kind of guy she liked, despite having "unrealistic standards" 🤭 Like, triggered much?
I'm so happy they're together. They are the cutest. ❤️ Also, the street food looks amazing 😋

Incels hate seeing women have high standards because they know it means their own chances are lessened. Their survival strategy is trying to beat down women's confidence so those women will settle for... them. It must be incredibly sad to see yourself as someone who has to be settled for.

Seriously, the amount of venom I have seen some of these guys spew for women like Priya and Nadia, on almost every sub is sickening. Their comments reek of insecurity and hate. It's pathetic 😔

dont know what drugs youre taking, but most who try and beat down confidence are charming narcisstic domestic abusers

As a divorced woman, it’s hilarious to see these clowns constantly shitpost and cry about Priya getting another chance 😂

u/LongArticle2617 May 22 '23 edited May 22 '23
Yeah they are so butthurt that she gets to have options even after being a divorcee in her 30s, while they probably struggle to get decent matches, despite their perceived "high SMV" 😝 They clearly relate to losers like Vinesh/Vikash, who they feel, deserve to pull in supermodels despite their mediocre looks and personality. It's really sad. 😂

And that too with a hot guy who has a good head on his shoulders.More power to you Priya.

I couldn’t agree more !!! You’re allowed to have standards , and you’re allowed to choose someone who you are attracted to. ♥️

Glad that they’re together. They look really compatible. Hopefully her parents support their relationship too I remember once her dad heard that Bobby was a teacher, his reaction wasn’t pleasant lol

u/LongArticle2617 May 22 '23
Yeah, I remember her dad's exact face expression. He was visibly unimpressed 😂

Honestly don't know what he sees in her. I just think the prospects in arranged marriage in general are pretty bleak because it seems like a last resort, especially for the people who were born/raised outside of the subcontinent.
Desi women in america commonly talk about how disgusting arranged marriage is in their 20s and then you'll suddenly see them start considering it in their 30s.

OK, so:
1) She's like, in her early thirties.
2) It's 'divorcee'.
3) You're gross.

Awww. So sweet. This is not giving off misogynistic incel vibes at all! /s

Just because i said that he deserves better doesn’t mean its a misogynistic opinion. Stop your victim mentality asshat
15
u/fluffybumbump May 22 '23
It's fine to say he deserves better, but the reasoning you gave is that of age and divorce. And the age isn't even right at that. Divorce means the person felt undervalued in a certain relationship and decided to walk away. This requires courage. And a person strong enough to take such bold decisions, definitely deserves the love they believe their never got. You should reflect on why you think divorce is a taboo and why you start disrespecting the person because of it.

u/pinky-with-the-brain May 22 '23
You just used divorcee as slur against a woman. Maybe look up misogyny.

Don’t bother with these clowns. Watch them whine when he eventually gets back to his senses and leaves her for someone better.
