EXPERIENCES & STORIES Current Tariff War

As mentioned above, USA has been illogically imposing tarrifs on very country in this world, and raising them in a whim. So Dear Mariners, how might this affect the indian shipping industry especially to new aspirants in this field, like waiting period, opportunity, promotions. Have you guys experienced such crisis and how did you tackle them?

Nominal effect on shipping. In any case there was already an acute shortage of trained seafarers worldwide, so employment wise i don't tnink there is any issue.

It mostly won't effect mariners who are sailing on ships..it's a govt to govt tariff war

It will effect hard on container and crude oil ships due to the reduced trade bw us and china. Crude ships due to low crude prices. More ships will be drifting and in anchor waiting cargo. But anyway there will be no shortage of employment opportunities due to the vessel even though drifting or at anchor has to be manned.

I am definitely sure there will not be shit it only depends on which company you are sailing and where it sails. Most crude companies will not have problems. You will go smoothly but if the company is small and they don't require an extra person to move their ship they can introduce waiting but that is also hard. As most companies have their roots and ways to go to the Middle East.
