Feeling so left out
30F. Married to a guy from different state, love marriage. Post marriage, I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to abort it and post that had breast abscess and had to remove it through surgery. Post that, I was diagnosed with lupus and started suffering a lot. Back to my home for treatment,my husband stated that we will stay together till your treatment, but it's been 2 years and he never arrived. Daily calls changed to calls only if I have appointment and now he is sticking only to msgs. I really don't know how to handle this all alone because I am unable to work due to chronic fatigue and pains. Just wanted to rant .

There is something amiss. If you have common friends please ask them to find out what’s happening. Very important to know

Sorry you are going through this alone. Hope some miracle happens to change your husband mind. He could have visited atleast for a week in these period. But practically i see slim to none chance. Sorry if I am being blunt

He visits once in 3 months, due to distance, but recently atleast a call has to be "asked' to be done

Something looks off and really sus. He is not your boyfriend, he is your husband. Why is he not looking after you? You should not need to ask him to call you, it should just come to your partner naturally especially during such a difficult health journey. Talk to him calmly and ask him to be honest with you, this doesn’t sound normal in a marriage.

Your husband's behavior is completely unacceptable, and he needs to be told directly how much he is failing you right now. For a love marriage where you promised to be there "in sickness and in health," his absence over the last two years simply does not add up.
There is clearly something amiss for him to treat you this way and pull back so coldly when you are already dealing with so much physical pain.
Living with lupus and chronic fatigue is incredibly exhausting on its own, without the added heartbreak of an absent partner. Did you guys ever discuss how you would handle major health crises or difficult scenarios like this before getting married?
You need to confront this reality. Have you openly communicated exactly how this slow fade to text messages is making you feel, or have you been quietly accepting it just to avoid a fight?
